It's not about petty insults by a simpleton like you. It's about you getting so bent out of shape without even knowing what's going on. Do you even watch the show? There's a balance to good and bad Muslims. There's some that are preaching peace and trying to stop the attacks, others initiating them. Further, I don't see you whining about shows like JAG (when it was on), The Unit (currently on TV), etc. All of those depicted Muslims as terrorists. But again, don't see you complaining.
We're in season 6 of 24, and this is what, the second time that Muslims have been the antagonists? Considering in real life they're doing upwards of 80-90% of terrorism world wide right now, what's the big deal?

Well, if you watched the show, one of the major plot themes is the struggle over the Cons ution and legality of what is going on. So the writers are even voicing the same concerns you are through the story line.I didnt say anything about muslims being depicted as terrorists, I am talking SPECIFICALLY about muslims being rounded up and being put in camps, in the patriot act era, and living right down the road from crystal city texas, im not down with that

One thing worth noting about 24 is that the Muslim terrorists are the ONLY bad guys that have ever been portrayed in a politically correct light. Every other group of bad guys have been almost cartoonish and painted in very broad strokes as nothing but evil. The non-Muslim bad guys have been :eastern European guys from season 1, the domestic terrorists from the early part of season 2, the oil consortium that was secretly pulling the strings in season 2, the Mexican druglords and the angry British ex-special forces guy from season 3, the Russians from season 5, and the occasional mole/traitor who is usually an employee of the American government. For pretty much all of these bad guys the show just said, "These guys are evil," and left it at that.
So in the universe of 24 less than half of the major terrorist threat to America comes from Muslim extremists. If anything, for a show that focuses specifically on terrorists I'd say the writers have bent over backwards to avoid showing Muslims as bad guys all the time. And my bet is that political correctness has relatively little to do with that at all. Watching Jack shoot middle eastern terrorists for six straight years would get stale and at the end of the day it's supposed to be entertainment.

Maybe the terrorists in shows like this should just be aliens from other planets. Everybody wins.

Thats 12.5 to 1 and I am severly rounding down. So assumptions about who is and who isnt a terrorist are pretty specific. Being of middle-eastern decent and Muslim makes you 1250% more likely to be a terrorist when compared to being of European decent and Christian.

No I dont watch 24, and proud of it, I saw most of the premiere, and some of the last episode, I saw some season 2-5 dvds that my cousins played at christmas. people need to stop comparing this to rated R movies such as shindlers list (isnt that a true story?) and the seige, its 100% different, we HAVE censorship on network tv

take it off the air, i said it again. there is a limit to how much sex and violence you can show on tv, but there is no limit to how bad you can violate the cons ution, you either do or you dont. It is irresponsible
