Like I said in this thread, Manu is a very good help defender. As a one-on-one primary perimeter defender he isn't that good. Better than Barry and Finley of course, but not as good of a defender as he's made out to be in the Spurs' current system.
Night in and night out, Manu is put on the other team's worst perimeter player. In that role, he's very good because he can roam and cause havoc.
But a lot of Spurs fans see Manu's defense on par with Bowen's defense ... when in reality, Bowen is still a much, much better defender.
