The main reason I like eminem and Tupac is because they rapped about real life things, not how much money and bling they have like 99% of today's mainstream rappers.

Out of all those you quoted, Snoop could be the only one considered to be "good". And I mean young Snoop, not this "drop it likes it hot, drop it like its hot" new Snoop. I'm talking about the "bow wow wow yippe yo yippe yeah, the sounds of a dog bring me to another day" Snoop. You know, the "what's my mother ing name" Snoop. Now that was the .

Is that the song where he admits his man-love for Baby?

The only album Lil Wayne ever made that deserved a listen was "tha block is hot". Period.

And that's not including any Cali dudes I listen to. There are too many.

replace Akinyele with aceyalone and i have no prob with your list, pretty ing solid.

btw, i dig akinelye, but the absence of aceyalone is very obvious.

    and youngbloodz?

This was made during the "music for drones" discussion with TxJudson. I had to leave off all the Cali rappers I listened to in order to make a point. The list could be doubled if I were to include all the Cali dudes. And the Youngbloodz first album, "Against da Grain", was tight. Very Outkast'ish.

Actually, now that I think about it, I only really liked 85 South and the U-Way remix off that album.

Nice list. I'd add Common and Talib Kweli.
