Why can't the Spurs play in the Alamodome during the rodeo? That would be awesome. Just like old times. =)
RIF people, the guy didn't say get rid of the Rodeo, he asked why it couldn't be moved. It was a perfectly reasonable question for non-inferiority complex types, and FWD answered it. It's not clear to a lot of us the divisions between the City and the County.

For the fans, that would be an interesting solution, but I imagine Spurs have essentially an exclusivity agreement with the AT&T Center as part of their contract.
The Rodeo trip has turned out to be a Good Thing during the Tim Duncan Era, but it will probably be something very painful to endure after he retires (or signs with the Lakers in 08).
The Spurs don't play in the Alamodome, ever, because they are partial owners of the AT&T Center. In order to play any games at the 'Dome, they'd have to rent the building from the City of San Antonio and they'd have to give up (I'm sure) a significant portion of the concessions and other non-ticket revenue that such an event would realize.
It's far more financially advantageous for the Spurs to take the RRT every year than it could ever conceivably be for them to play another game in the Alamodome.
