69 is pretty funny.
You were waiting to bump this huh homer...sad indeed. Good thing the Pistons are playing so well huh lol![]()
And 29-16 after the allstar break is a bad thing?Pistons are doing fine so I don't know what the your trying to prove.
oh well, ill take 69 wins
I'm trying to prove that you're a punk for trying to make a big deal out of a Mav's loss...no true fan expected 70 wins. BTW what's the Pistons record say for the last 10 games?![]()
How am I being a punk? And the Pistons are on pace for 54-28 record or close to that(same record they had when they won the 'ship.) Im not really making a big deal about the loss, I really dont care Im just messing around!!
Oh yeah and![]()

there I out did you on the elephant.
Nice reminder that we had a moronic thread like this.
We barely beat the pathetic Bucks at home by 2 points, we barely beat the pathetic Knicks at home by 2 points, we get run over by the Suns, we barely beat the pathetic Kings by 4 points, and now we lose by scoring a pathetic 71 points against one of the worst defensive teams in the league, all despite knowing we still need to win 2 games to clinch home-court throughout the playoffs. Where's the motivation here? It's like we're coasting. This team has these stretches where we look like garbage. We're definitely vulnerable in a 7-game series.
i think the mavs could definitely have more focus and play better but i also think they may be a bit banged up right now...i know some of those wins were too close for comfort but i'm very impressed that we beat the kings by only four points without dirk because jho stepped up and had a great game...i'm also impressed that we only beat the bucks by two points without dirk for most of the game (sprained ankle) because the bucks have a great record against the west for some odd reason. we didn't get it done tonight and the team made some stupid mistakes and took too many jumpers late in the game, they could've really used jho but happens and at least we have some cushion to deal. i'm not saying that we aren't vulnerable but i think several teams are vulnerable because so many good teams can beat each other on any given night. look what has happened the last two times that we've lost to the suns. the spurs and suns both lost games shortly after, it's no big deal, the mavs will get back closer to the playoffs, i do think they're coasting right now because of the injuries and the lazy at ude due to their seeding.
My thoughts exactly. They appear to be stuck on cruise control and just waiting for the playoffs to start.
And that may be all you get, so cheers to another fantastic regular season![]()
The Mavs have lost their edge because there is no motivation right now. It shows a touch of immaturity in that they have not actually clinched the #1 seed, yet have gone on cruise control. That exact thing may have cost them the series against Miami last year because once they got complacent, they couldn't ge things going again.
AJ should point that out to them.
Once they clinch the West, AJ will curtail starters' minutes severely, though. There is no point in risking injury to get 68 wins as opposed to 65, especially when both Dirk and Josh Howard are nursing tender ankles.
So in the past it was the Mavs are playing their stars too many minutes, now it is that they are resting them too much?![]()
You Spurs fans hate for the Mavs is comedy. It really really is. Stop being blinded by your hate and worry about your own teams rebounding issues and love for small ball!
Quite honestly Dirk...I've said it a million times. I think the Spurs fan's hate is less for the Mavs as THE MAVS FAN. Arrogant, shortsighted, and argumentative. Plus, we have a RIGHT to hate the Mavs. I don't, but I'm not speaking for everyone else. I love good basketball, and the Mavs play great basketball. But it's like when certain people hated the 90's Bulls for being good. It just didn't make any sense to me for some reason to hate them. I loved 'em. Now that's just about the only Bulls/Mavs correlation I'm going to make, but it's a start.![]()
I looked back at the thread, and figured the only possible post you could be responding to was mine, since mine was the only one that referenced the resting of starters.
I stand amazed at your utter inability to comprehend what you read.

I am amazed at your inability to realize you have tons of concerns about your team especially when you face the Mavs!
God you are retaded
You're right, it's the same reason Mavs fans hate on the Spurs fans, and the team to a much lesser extent. I enjoy cheering for Duncan, Ginobili and Parker at times so I know it's not like I hate the players so much, I'm an NBA fan, no point in hatin' on great players. It's great that at least three teams from the West are so good and maybe two from the East to insure a healthy crop of smacktalk. There is nothing more boring than watching one team plow through the entire league with ease and predictability...this year, anything can happen in the playoffs, particularly in the West.
Is that your best comeback about your teams weaknesses?? Comon grow a sack and defend your teams rebounding issues to me. Defend your teams love for small ball. Oh wait....you cant!
Sigh.......
We have already been over this. Good luck in the playoffs
So insults is your best way of a comeback on this ? Weak!! You need the good luck if anything for the playoffs. You have quite a brutal road before you face my boys assuming you even make it that far (Which I hope you do because I cant wait to kick your asses this time). How is old aged has been Robert Horry doing?![]()

Well, true as that may be, I honestly would rather play the Suns than the Jazz, but thats just me. And where Im from, calling somone a re is a compliment
I'm not jumping into the fray but why would you rather play the Suns? Is it because of the physical play of the Jazz? The Jazz have really been sucking it up lately. I really don't see them doing more than sniffing maybe 1-2 wins in the first round against Houston...oops, let me add a huge qualifier: IF t-mac's back is good to go.
We match up so much better with the Suns, the Jazz give us fits with their matchups. Okur, Boozer, Williams, and even players like Harpring and Giricek give us problems. Plus they play great d, and can run or play half court. With the Suns, if we can slow down Nash, we win everytime. Cut off the head and the body dies.
