Not saying that last year’s team was awesome in terms of talent, but it wasn’t terrible either, at least in the Eastern Conference.
When you have a lineup of Jose Calderon, Mike James, Bosh, Villanueva, Jalen Rose and Mo Pete, you should be able to squeeze out some wins. This lineup is not a 27-win lineup, it should get you in the mid 30’s, low 40’s.
The Raptors last year looked lost on the court, especially when in a half-court set. That is what a coach is supposed to teach them. They also play no defense.
Of course, Mitc wasn’t responsible for drafting busts like Araujo, picking Michael Bradley over Zach Randolph, Gerald Wallace, Jamaal Tinsley, Tony Parker and Samuel Dalembert, and giving away Kareem Rush.
