This is actually not a bad signing for the Cowboys. All your observations are right about Hamlin. He's a big hitter, run stopper, punishes WR's, but his coverage skills are lacking. He's not horrible at pass coverage, but nothing to write home about. You will be happy with what he brings, and since his contract is not huge it's a good signing. As for why the Seahawks let him go, it doesn't speak bad about Hamlin, it's just that they decided to go with Boulware instead (not a contract year, no head injury). They were just to similar in style and didn't play well together. Hamlin will help out, no doubt.

Why you mad fool is it cause your team had to spend 80 million on a weak can't cover corner?

yeah but if one or both ever catch the guy they'll knock his in the dirt.
Yessir..........and the pass coverage starts with the pass rush. The better the DL and OLBs the better the Pass D overall. Not a single QB can throw from his back.

    I like this move.

Wouldn't the Skins need a QB that can put together at least 2yrs of decent play?
Washington, Detroit, Vikings....they'll all in the same league, TY.

WTF? does that have to do with anything? Is that all you got??
    Truth hurt?
Someone getting a little defensive about a simple comment shows a serious lack faith in your team. Oh well Skins fans, there is always 2008 and beyond, but your team will prob that yr up too.

The Dallas D line and Linebackers won't get to the QB every ing time. They will need a safety that can cover and so far they don't have one that can. These are two good run stopping, pass rushing safetys but they can't cover .

alot of Dallas's problem was they didn't have a pass rush for .

    Exposing the downfield defenders.

Rush he QB's , guys like Newman and others have a better and easier shot at covering.

IMO, losing Ellis is what got them knocked out of he playoffs, and possibly going to the Super Bowl.

Im not convinced that this move will help Dallas at all. Roy Williams is the most overrated player we have ever had in this era of professional sports. as long as he is on the team they will never win a championship. TO is not the receiver he used to be, and Romo is shaken and forever will be shaken by the Seattle game. he will never get over the stress. i see the Cowboys going no better than 1-15

For the price we got Hamlin, its a great signing. He either shores up that spot, or he gets beat out by Watkins and is a bench warmer.

Scheme (Phillips v. Parcells) will play a huge role in the improvement of our defense this year.

A day late buddy I made that comment cause it had no relevance to what was being said. COWBOYS are reaching like the Skins used to but I think the skins have learned finally that blowing big money on old or unproven fatties(davis) dont work. Good luck with them Boy's they will need it. By the way being a skins fan in SA I have to be thick skinned nothing hurts my feelings so come up with something else.. Tony RULES!

Sorry, didn't mean to hurt you so bad.
At least I don't hurt you as much as the Skins do, right?

My guess is that the mere presence of Hamlin will force W-A-T-K-I-N-S (Who the is Watson?) to step it up. Compe ion is good and my money is on the kid but I'm sure the coaches would rather have the vet in there..

it...i'll wait till the season to talk about the skins. Any fan from that franchise should not talk about any team's offseason moves whatsoever. And no, you haven't learned . You are now trying to trade your number 6 for Lance Briggs. YOU STILL DON'T IN GET IT.

  24. #74
By not making bone-headed signings like that big O-Lineman from Arizona and a semi-talented knucklehead like Hamlin.
Two Pro Bowl births later, looks like the Boys really did make some bone headed moves.
