Avery has said that some players will be resting as soon as the home court is clinched.
I actually like the Suns more then the average team, they play an entertaining brand of basketball, which is more then could be said of many other teams.
As far as liking them, I would but them on the same level as the Raptors. I watch them for various reasons (Most of which have to do with young stars in the making)
As I have said before, I only hate one team (Pistons) and only truely root for one team (Mavs)
Although I will hope that the Rockets, Spurs and Hornets win![]()

on second thought, after some of the gy posts in the spurs forum, the spurs
No doubt.
You'd think they'd be used to winning by now, but I guess not. I think the word 'humble' has been lost in their vocabulary this late in the season.
The spurs won. Now for the rest of the season them.![]()
Were just excited, it was a big win, not all of us have potential record breaking teams this year
Finley/Parker 41 minutes, 37 for Bowen, 35 for Duncan.
I'd love to see those kind of minutes hold up in the 2nd round v. the Suns. Eventually, they'll get their way and break out into SunsBall. Not saying the Spurs couldn't beat them, just that it's going to take a lot out of them to do so.
I was telling my bf that there wasy no way I wanted them to win by double digits and the game was perfect because they lost their big lead towards the end...I thought this would keep them level-headed, apparently not. Spurs played well tonight but it would be ridiculous to say that the Suns' mistakes were all a result of the Spurs' D...they made plenty of unforced errors.
And I find it hard to believe that the Suns will look as out of sorts for long spells in the playoffs as they did at times tonight.
they won't...the suns/spurs and whichever one matches up against the mavs are going to be up and down games, all hard fought series. spurs fans are high on their win tonight, they'll come back down to earth when they lose again.
Im just glad that the Spurs did not win by more than 8.5 points.![]()
now that's not nice
![]()
yeah me too, especially because the spurs lost some of their lead and duncan didn't make his free throws in the last three minutes of the game
damn manu....on a night where barbosa only has 12 points manu has to get a measly 7 points, there goes some more vbookie!
oh my, who's that?
The key to tonight's game was Barbosa. Nash had a C+ effort, but Barbosa was rough. I doubt we'd see him go 0-5 from 3 next time these two teams match up.
The Suns also need someone to stick around and clean up some rebounds. There's no reason for Marion and Stoudemire to have fewer than 10 rebounds when the team is shooting that poorly from outside.
And when was the last time the Suns shot 18% from 3? They had the open looks, but weren't making them. I don't want to hear that the Spurs D forced that, either. Suns shot 38% to San Antonio's 41. If we're going to give credit to the Spurs D for the Suns shots not falling, then it's only fair to do the same for Phoenix's for allowing a subpar shooting percentage to the Spurs. Props to the Spurs for beating the Suns, but taking a look at it after the dust has settled shows that Phoenix did a lot to beat themselves.
meh, i don't care to talk about this game anymore, it's one game and spurs fans are all big-headed, thank god the playoffs will start soon so the real smackdown can begin...where are all the suns fans other than xylus and jmarkjohns (sp?)?
I'm happy with tonights win, but I don't think it'll be a sweep or Spurs in 5
I think we'll win in 6 with some hard fought games and def. more appearances of Suns ball.
they were posting in the Spurs section and giving props, so kudos to them
it was a good win, especially with manu not playing well...i really enjoyed screaming "finley" again, i love that ex-maverick!
We really need him to play well.
We also didn't have Horry or Barry (who loves playing those guys)
The free throws didn't go down, but when its the Spurs when do they ever?
I just want the playoffs to start.
Now.
you're going to die when you find out. i'll be dropping more of these when he acts up. let me just say he's sig worthy
More than likely, it's some kid off of Myspace.
ah yeah, i remember now...is this the same guy as the one by the fridge with the jinco (sp?) jeans? if so, it's an improvement but still, i'm glad i live in austin and not the 'burbs of dallas
me too. i have season tix but i will need to sell every other game to be able to afford paying for next season's tix...i'm going to try and buy some tomorrow morning though so that i can take my dad (a spurs fan, ugh! haha) and my bro (a pistons fan, eh)...i know there are a 1000 available for the first two games in dallas, any idea how many are available in s.a.? i was thinking i'd get a ticket for me and my dad so he can see the spurs play, even if i already took him to the last mavs/spurs game in s.a....he wants to see them again.
I actually live in toronto, so I'm not too good with the actual AT&T Center, but with the way the spurs fans in SA seem I'm sure you should be OK for playoff tix in SA
(unless james white is expected to make an appearance, then expect a fast sellout
)
