Utah is the better team.
It would seem that the team with the false lead for any part of Game 1 was Utah.
Utah is the better team.
Not tonight.
. . . and not for the last month or so, either.
Rockets are the much better team.
Look at Utah after there 12-1 start and they were above just average all season. They gained a rep for winning games in the 4th when they were down but they sucked at that late in the season.
Rockets are definately the better team and have still had to deal with more injuries than the Jazz.
Damn, SpursDynasty, do you ever actually look at what you post?
After watching this game, I dont think that Utah will be able to do anything about Yao. And Spurs dynasty, why do you have to say such stupid constantly
The Rockets have 1 good month and the rest of the season mediocre, so that makes them the better team? To me, they're still wishy washy. They're out in 4 games in the 2nd round if they advance.
The Jazz have 5 good months and 1 bad month, so they suck?
Why do you guys always have to contradict every damn word that comes out of my mouth.
If I said "Mavs in 4", I'd love to see what you guys would say to that.
BTW: Good job Dwight Howard for getting your individual stats while doing nothing for your team to win!
How many times do you want us to tell you that you're a ing idiot, Jeff?
I bet you've never said that to anyone to their face in your life. Just online.
Rockets have home court. Rockets have two game changing superstars. Rockets play killer d. Its not that I mind you saying that Utah is better, but you have nothing to back it up. And dont act like it was just a bad month, they fell the apart. You wouldnt get contradicted if you didnt A)Say stupid , or B)AT least back up your stupid with reasonings other than Utah is better
Hes just speaking the truth. ANd I would def tell you that to your face
Would you like phone numbers?
I'm not the one starting . You started it. Why would I need anyone's number?
You guys act like I'm talking about you guys , or talking about your family, etc...when I'm talking about the damn basketball players.
Sigh.
I reiterate post #60.
Speaking of that, I think Shoog posted some stats some posts ago that you might want to look at.
Cue the "But T-Mac hasnt ever gotten out of the 1st round" in 3....2....
Yeah, everyone knows he hasn't gotten out of the first round.
But it's silly to say he's been "nonexistant" (sic).
Oh I agree, and I dont think him not getting out of the 1st round is his fault. I was just waiting for someone to say it
well he said if it happens this time it's gonna be on him...
wait and see

I'd dispute that the Rockets have only been "mediocre" for the most part this season. They've clearly been among the top 6 teams in the West since Day 1. They had some rough patches in the season, but they also had to play a significant number games without McGrady (who is a legitimate MVP candidate for his work this year) and without Yao (who was dominating pretty much everyone at the time that he got injured). It's awfully hard to look at the Rockets this season and not account for those facts.
I'm with you inasmuch as the Rockets are a bit thin beyond McGrady and Yao, but they have one of the very best coaches in the business manning that ship, and the guys that they do have accept their roles and do what's required of them in those roles.
McGrady and Yao are both more apt to be game-changers than any player on the Utah roster.
Damn, everything with you is black and white. Saying that Utah isn't better than Houston isn't saying that Utah sucks.
Nevertheless, the fact is that when teams got deadly serious, down the stretch of this season, the Utah Jazz fizzled. I think some of that was inexperience, but the fact is that whatever was true of their first 5 months, they weren't so good that 1 bad month would maintain their home court advantage in Round 1.
Since the Rockets ended up with a better record than Utah, despite Houston's many, many injuries this season -- yeah, I'd say that that Houston is better.
Don't take it personally. I think most of us are perfectly willing to blast anyone who posts thoughts that are completely asinine.
I'd say: I think you might be right.
Yup. It's all Dwight Howard's fault that his teammates aren't very good. It's entirely on him -- he drafted them and signed them to free agent deals. And, really, if he can't fit things like teaching fundamentals into his busy schedule while still putting up double-doubles every night, well, then I have no idea why anyone would waste time thinking he might be any good.
