I don't have any problem with him thinking the Spurs aren't going to win the le. I just think it's lame to say that if another Spurs fan thinks the Spurs are going to win the le, then that makes them sound like Kings fans thinking they are going to win.

What is this ???? We have NEVER won a Championship without splitting the 1st 2 home games of round 1. Why all the DOOM now ?

Denver played really well and we looked like we were stuck in mud. You do know that we had a 30 + point lead on them this year when AI came back from his injury right ? The third game was meaningless.

We'll be fine. The key to being a great team is consistency. We'll see how hungry and good the Nuggs are tonight. Even down 2-0 I wouldn't say this was over. What a bunch of nonsense.

what is the point of being a fan if you dont believe?

what is the point of being a fan if you accept defeat?

the thrill of a team competing and trying to win is what is intriguing about sports.

why would anyone watch if they knew who was going to win every year? it would just be a waste of time. that hope is what drives sports fans...

    THE SPURS ARE DONE.

I know its hard for us fans to accept this but we really need to. We should see things for what they are and stop fooling ourselves. WE ARE NOT going to win this year or again anytime soon. We shouldn't let being fans cloud the truth. Its like Kings fans thinking they got a shot, thats how we look.

We had our time to shine, we got some some rings. Everything must come to an end. We should continue to root and support our guys but we got to be realistic.

It was fun while it lasted.

Good luck Dallas and Phoenix, the cycle will repeat and the Spurs one day will be back on top.

    go yourself

I think board records from the 3 days should be carefully reviewed and all persons who posted things that can be remotely be considered jumping off the bandwagon after just one loss should be hit with lifetime bans from SpursTalk after the Spurs advance. Or have their user le changed to "Re "

I think Dallas and SA are finished, actually. Had we played GS and Dallas played Denver, both teams would have moved on, but these are the 2 teams that matchup the best against the 2 Texas teams repectively, and that spells doom for the state of Texas.

Houston is keeping the state of Texas afloat...

Atleast we know who the bandwagon fan is. This post is just plain stupid. But if they win the big prize, they'll be right back on the bandwagon.

Except the Spurs are one of the best 3 teams in the league. The Kings and Nets aren't. The Spurs had an awesome record since the All-Star break, you can't ignore that.
I don't know why you keep bringing up the Kings. Are you a Kings fan or something?
You can't really compare a team that missed the playoffs to the Spurs.
Spurs are not the best team, they aren't as good as they were a few years ago, you can't ignore that.
The le of this thread clearly states that I am a Spurs fan but even before that I am a NBA fan. So unlike most of you guys I don't favor the Spurs in every aspect. I've never cared for the Kings but I distinctly remember some of the comments that were made to their fans about them thinking they had a chance. Thats the comparison I was making.

Off topic, but what happened here?
I think the last 2 sentences you left out clearly explain that post. Off topic indeed.

Anyway, the Spurs aren't any kind of lock to win the le, but I think it's crazy for Spurs fan to go nuts and give up after one playoff game.
The Mavs lost Game 1 too. Should they write off their chances as well?
Or if this isn't about the one game, why didn't you post this before the playoffs began?
I already said it wasn't about losing 1 game. I didn't say this before the playoffs because there was still 1% of me that, like you guys, believed the Spurs could pull it off no matter what. After seeing all the teams play that 1% is now 0. I could have waited till the Spurs get eliminated but then people would still say the same thing "well why didn't you say this before, youre just a band wagoner..etc" I'm saying it now, it needs to be said, thats all that matters.

I don't think he's a troll or a Mavs fan (his previous posts don't show any sign of it), I just think people give up a lot after one loss.
That's far more pathetic than a troll pretending to be a Spurs fan.
Once again, its not about losing 1 game. Pretending your team is going to win every year is pathetic.

Jayem is another imposter Mavfan .
Don't feed this idiotic excuse for a troll. He has 20 posts total.
So because I'm a Spurs fan with a sense of realism that automatically makes me some imposter troll? Only blind fans can discuss the spurs here?

Wow. Jumping off the wagon early, are you not Jayem?
    I never jumped on.

If he's making posts that are purposely to get responses, he's trolling. This is exactly what the thread was started about, especially when there are 15 others out there just like it with bandwagon fans committing suicide.
I'm ashamed to be associated with these idiots and badwagoners soley by virtue of being spurs fans. The knicks fans , here in ny, can teach these idiots a lesson on what it means to be a fan.
I'm not a bandwagoner. I will always be a Spurs fan who would like to see them succeed but it's pretty clear they aren't the championship team they once were. Fans need to realize this and accept it, that's all I'm saying.

sure, jim, you too. you brave souls, fighting valiantly against the grain of popular opinion and calls for restraint, are a distinguished and admirable few. may we all, one day, find that tiny spark that dwells within each of us, yearning for its chance to flare up and infuse us with the bright, burning light of defeat. Big Ups to the Downers!
