I'm a U.S. citizen and resident of Brazil. I spend almost half the year in Brazil, half in the U.S. I own a distribution and installation company in San Antonio, so I'm there a lot. But I am American, yes.

I don't post much in terms of volume, but I try to make my few posts in some way a meaningful addition to the thread. I would post more, but my shoulder injury really jacks up if I do...

One of the coolest things about this place is the fact that it has brought people from all over the world together in their support of a common love. In the era of real-world community breakdown, places like this are forging new virtual communities that bring people together - I mean, I would never have met all you wonderful San Antonians but for Spurstalk, and my life would be much poorer for it. I just wish I could find a way to get over there for a year or two...

It would be fantastic if we could have a "foreigners of Spurstalk" convention in SA one year! You know, get 20 or 30 of us in SA for a fortnight and go a little crazy. I reckon if we could organise a mass foreigner gathering, we might be able to get the organisation to to organise a few things for us too. Sadly, money and commitments mean that it will probably never happen... if anyone is interested in the idea for 2008 or 2009, I'll coordinate it.

Now that I've said it, I reckon the foreigner convention HAS TO HAPPEN, and it's gotta be in the next two years so we can enjoy the Big 3.
