Haha, the only thing more pathetic than the Spurs' first quarter are the bandwagon fans. Might wanna change your team to "Lakers".

it's tough to watch when your team is doing bad, but you watch to see them pull through. many in this thread that bailed in the first half are the same people that said manu=manure. you're pretty much an embarrassment.
Props to the Suns. I suspected this game would be a fight and the Suns were better than I thought.
The team gave it their best. It is hard to see them go down to the Spurs again!!!! Props to SA.

The tools early in this thread made me want to pick up my monitor and throw it out the window.
I don't care how bad my team is losing. I never turn the tv off or change the channel until the final buzzer. Yes I get pissed when they play horribly, but I still support them, win or lose.
What a vagina mcginestein, That was an intense game...but I never once felt like the game was over...its sad to see that sort of fan.
Yep...I choked on the team last night. Shame on me. I've been a fan since i was 5 years old, ill be a fan till i die, but last nights performance was just down right frustrating. I am really REALLY glad we won it, but we cannot play like that friday and win again.
Ill admit when im wrong, and i was wrong. I was frustrated by what looked like a complete lack of effort on behalf of everyone that was in phoenix yesterday.
I am glad they pulled their head out of their asses and adjusted. Teach me not to doubt my guys ever again.

what really really makes me not want to even watch is lack of effort. It just looked like no one wanted to try for a good portion of the game last night.

I turned the TV off about 8 times and threw the remote once... But I watched all the way to the end!
yep i agree. I also think there is a fairly big distinction from a bandwagon fan, and a fan fedup with their team making a very lackluster showing in a very crucial game. If i was a bandwagon fan, i think i would have fallen off some time around the mid 90's when we were a consistent lottery team.
Who was i kidding about going to sleep. I turned off the tv for about 5 minutes... ed and moaned to myself..then turned it back on and screamed at the TV for another couple of hrs till it was over.
i was absolutely disgusted with the 1st 1/2. timmy couldnt make his trademark "off the glass", and open shots just wouldnt fall. it was aweful. i did stay up for the entire game, and couldnt believe we actually pulled it off. i guess it was karma for the previous game. you think you got it in the bag because you lead the majorty of the game....
anyway, games like last night aint good on a fat guys heart!
I was still so worked up after the game i didnt get to bed till about 2am.
I have to wake up at 6:15 for work...
Im dead ass tired today, but at least we won. I would have been double frustrated with the night had we lost.
I can't blame anyone for feeling sick during the first half. That was a horrible, lackluster display. They were without their leading scorer but that doesn't mean we have to lay down for them. That's exactly what it looked like.
, Charles Barkley and Kenny Smith even thought the Spurs were playing like they were guilt ridden. In any case, after the 1st qtr the 2nd was a tie at 20 pts each and we won the last 2 quarters.
I would have felt better about this team had we won decisively but a win is a win. I'm happy about that. What I'm not happy about is Pop insisting on putting JV in the game and that Elson is garbage. What a total waste of space. He has the talent to play better but he just goes out and turns the ball over and gets manhandled.
It looks like Tim is all alone down low. Utah is going to give us fits if we advance to the next round. I can't guarantee anything anymore.
Waiting on ATXSPUR, Word, and Baseline Bum to come back in here to this thread. Losers!
Spurs win when i pop open some popcorn......during halftime my husband forced fed me the stuff and voila! It works like a charm!
Next time i'm not wasting any time.....I'm getting it early and often!
