Kobe would never fit into our system. No thanks.
Kobe would never fit into our system. No thanks.
Wherever Kobe is, it's a house.
see other thread:
la, ca: is parker and manu = kobe in trade? Laker's get youth and a great player in Manu for another couple of years. Spurs get an unstoppable tandem. NO way the Spurs do this, but is it equal?
David DuPree: I think it is pretty equal but of course isn't going to happen.
no, that's why the deal would be so sweet
Tigole Bitties wuz here.
How about three fleas off the Spurs Coyote's left buttock for Kobe?
This thread has finally made me realise what everyone is talking about when they talk about SpursDynasty.
wow...seriously...wow.
And its not even the right Spursdynasty
a 2007 kobe - TD tandem would look better than the 2000 2001 2002 Kobe - Shaq tandem...
why would you change a championship team just to make kobe a champion too?
But it is true that tony really needs to go on the next step if we want our spurs to win for more couple years.
Tony is there. We just need a decent back-up so we don't lose our leads when Tony is out of the game.
A backup for Tim wouldn't hurt either![]()
How about you get lost for free.
kobe and framar in a massive 4 team trade!!!
Kobe for Jason Kidd, Kevin G, Portlands number one pick! Everybody wants to play in LA!
C'mon.Who's need system whit Kobe?![]()
Unfreakin'believable. Aside from the absurdity of this idea, as a Spurs loyalist I can't fathom why anyone would remotely agree to losing ANY of our players (even Beno) for that ballhogging jerk. We are on the verge of possibly winning a fourth championship WITH THE AWESOME PLAYERS we already have, who can go a few more years.
Whoever suggests a trade like this and agrees with it is no true Spurs fan, imo. We have the winningest team right now and should have no room for complaint and dumbass ideas like this.
What has Manu & Parker done for us? I don't know, win championships perhaps? But hey, let's throw them away for a piece of sh*t like Kobe just so we can "win" even more than we are now?![]()
Pretty ungrateful "fans."![]()

Good post overall...but that even beno part was just a tad bit homer![]()
I would have no problem if we had Kobe....only a couple of slight problems with your proposal.
1. We can't afford him.
2. We will be left without a point and a shallow bench.
3. See 2004 Lakers. How did the last "Super Team" work out?
I don't agree with those who would not take Kobe just because he is Kobe. I would welcome Kobe with open arms for the right cir stances. But right now that deal is WAAAY too risky.
All of you people bashing this guy. Did you root for the Kidd trade to pan out? Cause if you did, that makes you an even bigger moron. We woulda lost both Parker and Ginobili to free agency the following year. I for one wouldnt give up both Tony and Manu for Kobe. Now if it was just one of them I would in a heart beat. But even then salaries would come into play and it wouldnt work out. In any event, We got a championship calibur team for at leat another 2 to 3 years. So no need to break that up.
Spurs are trying to win a le. This is not time for trade talk.
You want to talk about Kobe, please do it in the NBA forum.
Thanks.
