Its one thing to beat the Lakers in two regular season games, entirely another to win an adjustments-filled seven game championship series. The Lakers have been there and done that many, many more times than Chicago. And if you are worried about Jordan, he hasn't proven to be clutch, but you would still want to throw in some aggressive doubles on him. I don't see Pip, Grant, Cartwright and Armstrong taking down the Lakers in a series.
And while Chicago has become a solid defensive team, do you really think that Worthy, Magic, and Scott will be contained sufficiently over the course of a long series? I have my doubts.
