I guess that depends on how you define the term "good."
Since the ABA-NBA merger, the Spurs have the 2nd best winning percentage in the NBA (behind only Los Angeles). They have won 15 divisional les and have qualified for the NBA playoffs in all but 4 seasons. They've won 54% of their playoff games during that span. They've won at least one playoff series in 15 of their 27 playoff appearances, have played in 9 conference finals during that span (including at least one in every decade), and 4 NBA Finals.
You'd be really hard-pressed to find another NBA franchise outside of Los Angeles that has sustained that level of success since the merger.
