They're far from dynasty's what?but they're FAR from dynasty's
Why are you bringing a prime time soap opera into this?
Do you know how stupid you sound in every one of your posts. Why dont you go back to watching ESPN News to catch up with the rest of the people that have watched basketball longer than the last 2 weeks.
You are by far the worst new poster here, and you should just shut the up
Thank YOU!!!!!!! That's all I'm saying.....
Miami was also 2nd in own FG% and 8th or so in opponents' FG% in 2005-06, both better than the Mavs IIRC. Perhaps I'm missing something but I don't see a single EC team that was top 10 in both categories this season.
So if the West is hype, what does that make the East?
What, praytell, is your argument?
You've said that the West is hype, other than the Spurs and Lakers. The implication would seem to be that East teams are actually better than West teams, save the Spurs and Lakers, who aren't hype. You've been reminded that the Cavaliers are going to play the Spurs in the Finals starting in a few hours. I'm not sure what difference it makes that the Western Conference is all hype if one of the teams that you yourself exempt from that characterization is going to play your team in the Finals.
But, as usual, I shouldn't be surprised to discover that you don't really have a point.
SEE! There you go bringing up season well if you're gonna do that respect the fact that we have beat the Spurs 3 out of the last 4 times.....
read my second post. After thinking about it, I actually agree with you...
Actually, ALL teams in basketball are Hype right now, Except the Spurs.
I actually hope the Cavs pick up a decent second scorer, so we can get some good 'ol Western/Eastern rivalries again. I think one thing that keeps the Spurs from being more popular is the fact there is no Eastern rivalry. Many hoped the Pistons would provide that, but that's not going to happen.
this thread is such HYPE!
More consistant as a conference![]()
A look at the Finals, and the West.
1997 Utah Jazz 2–4 Chicago Bulls EAST
1998 Utah Jazz 2–4 Chicago Bulls EAST
1999 San Antonio Spurs 4–1 New York Knicks WEST
2000 Los Angeles Lakers 4–2 Indiana Pacers WEST
2001 Los Angeles Lakers 4–1 Philadelphia 76ers WEST
2002 Los Angeles Lakers 4–0 New Jersey Nets WEST
2003 San Antonio Spurs 4–2 New Jersey Nets WEST
2004 Los Angeles Lakers 1–4 Detroit Pistons EAST
2005 San Antonio Spurs 4–3 Detroit Pistons WEST
2006 Dallas Mavericks 2–4 Miami Heat EAST
Would the Cavs even make the playoffs in the west? a number 7 spot at the most
Again, THANK YOU because you read my thread and put your biased opinion aside!![]()
Instead of lecturing us about the FACT that the eastern conference indeed plays games in the NBA, just accept the FACT that Spurs teams are not as good in November and January as they are in May and June.
You are not too bright are you? Tell you Uncle/dad to stay away from your mom and quit bringing idiots like you into our world...and forum.
I think the point of that contention is that since Jordan left the Bulls, only two teams from the East have one the finals. The '04 Pistons beat a banged up Lakers team with chemistry problems, and the '06 Heat won thanks to a massive choke job by the Mavs.
In that entire span, there was only one 7 game series, and we all know that one.
So yes, the western conference has proven superior to the east since Jordan retired. You yourself said a lot of that had to do with WEAK teams, yet those weak teams WON THE EASTERN CONFERENCE.
You contradict yourself.
And as others have said, didn't you say you weren't going to post anymore![]()
Cavs would of lost to Nuggets, no doubt.
It seems like every year the Spurs end up playing someone who beat them 3 out of 4 times (with a couple of those wins early in the season) or some such in the regular season and the Spurs end up winning that series in 5.
You'd think NBA fans would recognize that the Spurs are a perennial slow starting team. Part of that is by design, but I digress. It wasn't too long ago that the Spurs looked like they would be bounced out of the postseason in the 2nd round, or perhaps even the 1st. Yet again, Rasputin won't die.
Even though the 3rd, 4th, and 5th seeds had more wins than the east 2nd seed? Because there was a team under 500 that made the playoffs? Or there were two teames at 500 while there were none in the West? You have nothing to say, points to make, and are just another dumb Cav fan
I see no reason to bash the Cavs just because they come from the East.
Would Cavs have beaten the Suns? Who knows? They could have.
Bashing the Cavs to praise the Spurs is counterproductive, unless you want 2007 Championship Spurs to be the lamest Champion ever.
It's funny watching Spurs fans defend teams like the Nuggets, Suns and Mavs.
Come one Spurs fans, you know those teams are all hype.
this is the lamest championship ever.
Cavs aren't even a team. they are one man.
