It's not fair to judge him before the interview takes place. Who knows? He might come out and apologize for acting like such whiner during and after the series and admit that he's making an effort to learn the rules of the game so he doesn't screw over his team again.
Amare is obviously not that kind of player. He's one of these new school prima donnas who will never win a championship on account that they think they are above the game, call other players out and does nothing to make his teammates better. Once Nash breaks down(this year or next), the Suns window is officially closed, because Amare will never be a Tim Duncan and lift his team, make is team better and is accountable.

Why is Amare coming? I would think they'd just do an interview with him in Phoenix. Was he just in town for the game anyway? Is it a special Amare-related occasion?

I'm not bashing it; I'm just curious.

ABC needs another gimmick since the LeBron thing didn't work out for them.

Oh I hope he comes to the restaurant. I owe him a kick in the shins!
I will chuck a bottle at him. I might even spend the 250 bucks on a bottle of opus so it hurts and ruins his shirt.

Because it would have taken a cattle prod and a crane to get your fat ass into the air.
I was actually pretty skinny back in the day, and a good athlete -- but I didn't cotton to team sports because I was a jerk. By San Antonio standards I am probably still considered skinny.

Thanks for your interest in me.

applaude the guy, and salute how good of a player he is.

If he was in San Antonio you all would love him to death.
No, Spurs fans have gotten spoiled by having players with both high IQs and high basketball IQs; not to mention team play and the absence of boorish whining in the media
Duhmare would be a major disappoinment on all levels

Man, this obsession with Amare is bordering on insane. The power of the asterisk!

BTW, "choking" traditionally meant having a big lead and blowing it. See, e.g., 1992 Houston Oilers, last year's Lakers. Now, it's used to describe pretty much any loss, whether or not the loser was way ahead at one point, or even favored going into the game/series. See, e.g., Texas beats Baylor 62-0. "I can't believe the Bears, they're such chokers."

Yes, it's true, in S.A., if you can get down to just 20-30# overweight, people start calling you "skinny" and offering you enchiladas to get your weight back up.

No but he needs to get off the cry circuit and move on with his life. We won, he lost he needs to move on.
Amare has got to be the biggest in the league ... boo hooo hoooo....
