I don't think that's the argument. I think the argument is that if you think that who makes the Finals should be determined by which teams will bring in the most ratings or by which teams play the most exciting brands of basketball, you've essentially argued for the league changing to accommodate the entertainment aspect while foregoing the compe ion aspect. The playoff is determined by the winner in a compe ion -- not a popularity contest -- conducted in accordance with rules applicable to all teams. It seems, of late, that some would prefer that it not be handled that way -- that popularity should somehow be a factor in determining which teams play for championships.

The black is more in keeping with the bad boy, Bowen-Horry thug image, while the gold at least gives the appearance of integrity and achievement.
By rule, Steve Nash should have been whistled for an offensive foul before Horry hit him for attempting to dribble between the defender and the baseline when there wasn't sufficient room. Fortunately the Spurs, while penalized the outcome of game 4 due to such an egregious error in officiating, they were able to overcome it by beating the Suns in game six despite missing a key role player.
And sad Suns fans make me happy. I don't care if Holt's wife is visiting David Stern daily for service. I'll take the championship to keep it away from Phoenix.
