Pietrus would make a lot of sense. Of course, he probably eats most, if not all, of the MLE and then the question is does GS match? They've already got a couple guys just like him, but do they have any reason to just let him walk either?
Jackson was the primary defender on Dirk. Pietrus did play some minutes on Irk though.

James Posey. Fits just about everything the Spurs would want in a successor to Bowen and will cost less than Pietrus.
It's pretty ignorant to say 'too expensive.'
We've got the MLE to work with, and with teams being cap responsible these days, the most a lot have to play with is the MLE.
All things being equal would you go to a team for the MLE that is going to be in the lotto next year, or go to a team that just won its third le in five years?
1. You're confusing him for Stephen Jackson, who did the bulk of the work on Dirk.
2. There's no big secret to beating the Mavs - have more athleticism than them.
I have never, and will never understand the Jones of unknowledgable Spurs fans for Gerald Wallace. He's dumb as a rock and can't shoot a jumper to save his mother's life. He would be just a TERRIBLE fit on this team. That Barkley quote about Stromile Swift applies here as well: a deer can run and jump, but you wouldn't put it on a basketball court.
Barnes had a decent season and a great 1st round. He's about to be very very overpaid. Go after Nocioni. Go after him Hard.

I think a lot of average Spurs fans and their interest in guys like Wallace comes from fantasy hoops.
Simply, they don't watch games outside of the ones the Spurs play, but they play fantasy hoops with their friends, so they get exposure to guys like Wallace through that.
And he's a fantasy stats monster, but he can't hit a jumper to save his life, which would be a horrible fit in our offense. Plus he's hurt about 20 games a year.
Derek Anderson, Bring him back.
Good lord.

Yeah, he just fired his long time agent and went with a "money guy". He knows this is his chance to cash in on a great series.
i like the posey idea, he was the guy who nailed heinrich a couple years ago, right? can hit a three, too, if i recall.
and if finley leaves, how about eddie jones to fill his role? they seemed pretty comparable or am i smoking crack?
and steve blake as backup?
Posey also laid out deng this year so we know he already dirty, we won't have to train him. Can you imagine bruce, horry, and posey on the floor at the same time? The other team would know somebody's about to get kicked in the achilles tendon!

I stopped reading here: Michael Olowokandi
hahaha
thats why i put him atop. hahaha
with the no paricular order, which of course there was. lol
Spurs should eye two extra full rosters?
amen. and jalen rose is also out.
much better list
i wonder if the kobe nonsense gives the spurs a better shot at luke walton.
Too bad Walton couldn't be gotten.
hed be perfect as the 3/4 tweener
why can't he be gotten? i'd think there's less incentive for him to stay what with kobe acting like an idiot. and bright lights of hollywood are difficult to leave but being a scrub on a crappy team can't be too great, either.
