Bruce did fine the first minute, then next he was open and candid, after that you could see in his eyes that playfulness start to show and Jay would have had to play a tight game of tag with Bruce if his segment had gone on any longer!

I thought Bruce was awesome. He gave initial thanks to the blessings of his wife and children, mentioning that those kind of things are more important than basketball. Explained about Ozmel being born during the Finals. Talk a little bit of basketball, the humble Spurs and how NBA players are blessed that get a lot of money to play a game. Mentioned very briefly about his bad childhood without getting too into the details, thanked the all the appropriate people.

I was laughing my ass off when Jay said that Lebron is probably the best player in the game today. After watching the finals i am not even sure he is in the top ten anymore. I know Kori loves him i hope now she sees how limited he really is as a franchise player, he has a lot of work ahead of him.

Way to represent the team, classy interview all the way. And he was very sociable, no awkwardness. I was actually glad how honest he was about how he has a grounded view about his job, the rings, etc. He can see it through a larger perspective.

It was a very classy interview. Bruce looks very handsome in a suit. Then again, I think he's pretty handsome in general.
Seemed really short, though. What was with the joking about Bruce wanting to be on the show before? Anyone know the backstory?

It was during that segment Leno ran on Game 1 of the Finals. They had a 'correspondent' for media day --an old lady. She interviewed Bruce and Bruce told Jay he wanted an interview at the studio.
I think Parker is on the 25th on Letterman.

You can tell Michael Chiklis was impressed w/Bowen and applauded him when Bruce was talking about being humble. It was awesome.

After watching Bruce, it just showed more and more why I love the Spurs -- humble, not out for all the personal glory and just downright good guys!
I stayed very alte to catch it and thought it was a great interview. I thought Bruce was funny and personable and touching. I love that Michael Chicklis seemed so into listening to him and congratulating him. It was great to see a BB player not pimping his shoes or clothes or hyping his own celebrity, but being humble and grateful.
Classy interview, indeed.
