I know, I was just funnin'........
I think the fundamental problem is that there are those who want San Antonio to remain a sleepy backwater forever.
I know, I was just funnin'........
exactly right Marcus.
Alot of people want this town to be the sleepy town of 1988 again...
While you're at it tell him to check out Wegman's. Damn I miss that chain. They make the best the Butt's have to offer look like a convenience store.
that's not what i heard..
I'm not even sure that that's legally correct. IIRC, there are some limitations on the purposes for which the hotel/rental car tax may be imposed. I suppose I could go look, but I'm not really that interested in the question. For some reason, though, I recall that in the 1999 timeframe, part of the debate centered on whether a tax should be used to fund the County's part of the construction and if so, what sort of tax that should be. I thought the latter question had a lot to do with limitations on the available taxes for particular purposes, but I'll admit that I might be wrong in that recollection.
People are going to no matter what when taxes are involved, even if they aren't necessarily affected. Same story in New Orleans about the Super Dome reopening last year.
Seattle Spurs once Seattle leaves to Kansas.
he's straight, i can attest to that as well.
