Shawn Marion is easily one of the most overrated and overpaid players in the league.

They are comparable scorer... the difference is that Manu can create his scoring opportunities. Marion can't.
If they kept stats on "desire and heart" it (the stat sheet) wouldn't even be close.
Sometimes I think Manu simply "wills" the Spurs to win, by playing his heart out and laying it all on the line.
I wouldn't mind seeing Marion on this team, but when it comes down to Manu or Marion, well it's going to be Manu all the time every time.
Did you ever hear manu complain about receiving less consideration than TD and TP? Because Shawn is a wanabe and would complain not to be the #1 option all the time.

He does have a quick release and a quick second jump though. And I think he could be taught to play some really good D under the guidance of Pop and company.

Watched the 2003 DVD last night. Man was Ginobili clutch. Jackson, too... but it reminded me how vital Manu's been from the start.
(And in the first round, Marion was crap in the clutch once again.)

Manu's a winner and will step up in clutch time or whenever the Spurs need him and there's a reason why Manu is the most hated player in the NBA by fans, players, and some coaches.

That was the game when MANU single-handedly OWNED the Suns a couple years ago after the Spurs were down by 20 something. It was beautiful.
