How about Finals MVP Tony Parker
Um, we just drafted two young guys; one of them is pretty strong.
How about Finals MVP Tony Parker
I seriously doubt the Spurs do worse, record-wise, than the Raps next year. And with the Spurs actually having roster space next year, why the not just increase your chances to pick up a potential contributor next year....
Quit being such a vagina. If you post on the world wide web, expect to be called out for talking out of your fat ass.
Hey, Beno, you're still around!![]()
parker was actually drafted after manu if you wanna get technical...
For once I agree with T Park. The FO is coming off pretty arrogant after winning. It's not even about getting an exciting player, or getting an american born player. It's about keeping up with the Joneses and not letting the rest of the league get younger and stronger. You would have thought they would have learned their lesson when after every championship we couldn't repeat.
Yup.
They don't draft a point guard. Everyone and their goddamn mother knows the back up point guards suck ass.
So what do they do? Draft another ing euro center, a small forward thats a ing punk and then trade away the last pick.
Heaven for ing bid, management drafts a player and then GASP!! PLAYS HIM THE NEXT YEAR!!!!!
ing christ. This team is a clippers pulling their heads out of their asses down the stretch from losing in the western conference.
Tony Parker (Finals MVP.
Suck it, honkey
Honestly, I have lost count of how many summers we have been looking for that guy
STFU and scroll if you don't like it. Ive had enough of your childish bull .uit being such a vagina. If you post on the world wide web, expect to be called out for talking out of your fat ass.
Tony Parker > TFart
T Park is such a whiney little . Do you not realize that we just won a le with this same lineup? Are you this big of a pussy?
you. Just because you're a stupid doesn't mean I should ing scroll.
Quit being such a .@ you whining about the Spurs never drafting anyone worth anything since Manu when Parker got drafted after him.
Way to ing own yourself, carney.
Yeah, I'm not play for national team. I make time for you though!![]()
There wasn't any sure fire NBA-ready point guard where we were drafting.
If a guy like Chucky Atkins is available, don't you think he might be a little more helpful than a rookie learning the position?
My question is this... what in the did you want them to do with the 28, 33, and 58? To a Championship club?? You guys led by T Park are hilarious.
No draft player outside of Oden, Durant, Horford, or Brewer would be contributors next year. And even one of those guys would be limited in contributions as they learn.
The interesting thing for the Spurs begins now - Free Agency. This is where the pieces that filled roles in the 2007 Championship were acquired. Let's see what happens now.
Some of you people are just plain idiots. A mere 2 weeks after the team won their 4th le and you're ing about the ing 58th pick out of 60 of the draft being traded?
First, the Spurs do need to get some youth in to start learning from the veterans.
Second, Tpark is still a clueless circus clown.
that about sums it up. the people who are happy with this draft are the same ones that are satisfied with four championships (when it could have been six).
Pardon me, ma'am...
All this anger over the 58th pick who is already 22 years old....
Officially traded now ..
SAN ANTONIO - The San Antonio Spurs announced today that they selected Tiago Splitter with the 28th overall pick and Marcus Williams with the 33rd overall pick in the 2007 NBA Draft. In addition, San Antonio traded the draft rights of Giorgos Printezis to the Toronto Raptors in exchange for the Raptors second round pick in the 2008 NBA Draft.
Splitter, a 6-11 forward from Brazil, has spent the past four seasons playing for Tau Ceramica in the Spanish ACB league. Last season he played in 28 games, averaging 11.2 points and 5.4 rebounds in 24.0 minutes per game. In Euroleague action, he appeared in 20 games posting averages of 10.7 points, 6.0 rebounds and 1.4 blocks per contest. For his career, Splitter has played in 96 games in the Spanish ACB league, averaging 9.2 points and 4.5 rebounds while shooting .600 (325-542) from the field. Over the last four seasons he has also played in 79 Euroleague games, averaging 8.1 points and 3.2 rebounds per contest. Splitter has been a member of the Brazilian National Team since 2002 and played in the 2002 and 2006 World Championships.
The Spurs used the 33rd overall pick they obtained from the Milwaukee Bucks in a 2006 draft night deal to select Williams out of the University of Arizona. Last season he earned First Team All-Pac-10 honors as a sop re. He ranked fourth in the Pac-10 in scoring (16.6 ppg) and eighth in rebounding (6.7 rpg), while registering four double-doubles. As a freshman, the 6-7 forward was named to the Pac-10 All-Freshman team, averaging 13.0 points and 4.7 rebounds. During his two years with the Wildcats, Williams averaged 14.7 points, 3.7 rebounds and 2.0 assists while shooting .475 (355-748) from the field. Williams participated in the 2005 Global Games as a member of Team USA, averaging 18.8 points and 7.3 rebounds in six games.
And oh yeah, they just bought a team that will have 10 young guys playing in their system for an entire season.
Goddamn these cheap, stupid, nonforward-thinking Spurs.
I realize both things, i really wish they would have gotten a guard, BUT i trust the spurs front office. I'm not going to sit behind my computer and act like i know more than RC.
So i'm not going to act like a when we dont get exactly who i want. and TPark exemplifies what's it's like to be a suns fan.
No answers.
Just personal attacks.
Shocking.
