Splitter, who?

I agree, and NO other person should ever wear 21 again in the Spurs organization.
No.... no.
Once a great player is retired, all we have is our memories of said player.
Can you tell me who you think of, if you see the number 44 on some jersey? 50? 23? I can. In 20 yrs, when I see number 21, I will think fondly of our TD.....
That's what training camp is for. Make Duncan and Splitter earn the number. No handouts.
I have to give all you people props that are saying that no one should wear 21 other than Duncan and that it should be retired when he retires...
How ing enlightening...I hadn't thought of that and no one else has either I am sure. :roll ingeyes
I bet you guys graduated first in your class(es).
If it was up to you tools we'd still be living in caves.
Let's face it, folks, Tim Duncan is getting on in years and it's time the Spurs FO began planning for the next generation of les after he's gone. That's why it was such a bad idea to get rid of the next "Big Three" - Scola, Butler and White. Add Splitter to that trio and you have yourselves a quartet that would be a le-winning machine.
I love when he does the good whottt/bad whottt thing . . .
Does Tim Duncan even need a number? What if he just went out there with a blank jersey?
Tim Duncan's not human. Look at those ing things he has instead of thumbs. TD was sent to Earth by an advanced basketball-playing species for a higher purpose we cannot presently divine:

NBA's best #21 giving up his #21 for Splitter?
he's the better player
first come,first served
Spurs' #21 = Tim Duncan
besides Tiago already said he likes # 25.
Case closed.
So does
Kevin Garnett
Dominique Wilkins did
Josh Powell (warriors)
So what is your point?
Tim Duncan - #21
Tim Donaghy - #21
Both are Tim D. #21
Coincidence? No.
My education tells me that 2 + 2 = 4, and Tim Duncan must be a gambling cheater.
I do think this thread is as stupid as they come. But I will take a nibble to say this...what the would or could be so groundbreaking about it? Oh wait, I can answer that. NOTHING. I believe in a great cure for boredom like many people do, but now we are stretching it fellas. Oh! And although this question doesnt deserve to be answered I will do so anyways. No! And I dont understand how the reasons are not obvious to you.
Wow. I'm not much for guys switching numbers because of those fans that buy jerseys more than anything, but that would be a bad-ass gesture.#21 and perhaps he can then take #12 so Bowens gets retired without argument.
Though the idea of anyone, from Brazilian draft picks to the some ing extraterrestrial born young player, ever handing out 21 on a Spurs jersey to a guy besides Tim is ludicrous. I'm already going to have a hard enough time explaining to my unborn children who the Sean Elliott is and why his jersey is up with all the Duncan-era guys when some stud wants 32 pulled down and thinks that's OK.
that.
Why is this thread still around?
9+20+21=50 (a handle for someone on ST) is all the number talk I need to hear!![]()
