Here's a series of pregame warmups to introductions. Although the court color schemes are a clue as to what league the Spurs played in before, the ball is NBA regulation orange and there is no 3 pt. line being that it was not officially adopted by the NBA until the 1979-80 season.![]()

Ok, the rest of these are sentimental, so bear with me...... A Spurs money bank and a Taz Tshirt that somehow still endures![]()

And so, here is, post #1,000, and what better way to celebrate it than with this memento of why we're all here![]()
Tim Duncan = MONEY IN THE BANK
In Tim We Trust!
I had one of those and that dollar is real but just has a Timmy sticker on it.

LOL, now I'm looking at my TimmyDollar behind the plastic cover to see about that peel-off sticker.![]()
The Spurs were playing in the NBA in that game, I know the pics say ABA, but the ball is orange, not red, white and blue. And the 3 point line is gone, the ABA had it, the NBA did not at that time.
Whoever originally posted those pics needs to do their homework and get their mind correct about ABA/NBA facts.
nice pics though
Got it KEDA, thanks for the correction and the history lesson![]()
Hill was most successful in the 1994–95 season, where he led the Spurs to the Western Conference Finals after a 62-win season................................................... .................................................. .................. photo by Clark Evans
sweet pics, guys.
"Memories... light the corner of my mind..."
Robinson might not win the award for being the best player in Spurs history, but he certainly wins it for having the most ripped pair of biceps in Spurs history. even in NBA history for that matter.
Man I remember EXACTLY where I was that day I found out we got the first overall pick. I was freakin psyched. Before that I was gearing up for how Van Horn and David Robinson would play together.![]()
Damn![]()
By the way, years ending with 7 mean bad luck for Celtics fans (EXCEPT 1957)
1967-77-87 ; no le
1997-2007 : bye bye 1st pick

While going through our closet, my wife found a poster of Sean Elliott that says "Top Gunn", but it's obviously promotional. I don't even remember where or how I got it. I'll post pics later. I have some other cool ones I want to scan, first.
