While he is listed as a cast member for the movie, I think this is Chris Nolan's slight of hand to confuse everyone.
For example, everbody was making a big fuss about Rutger Hauer in BB. Everyone swore he was going to be some kind of villain . . . didn't happen.
I can't say for sure that AMH won't be the Riddler, but I think it's highly unlikely.

The Batman movie looks better and better the more I see it. The Joker looks awesome, only problem I got is I wish his hair was a bit greener, dah well I'm sure without a doubt he'll be a bad SOB.

More sinister, yes, as nutty, no. Depends on what type of Joker you want, and how that preference defines "good" ... Ledger isn't a bad actor, and this is a new look for him. Frankly, I want a dark Joker that's more in line with the comic than the fanatical, laugh-happy goof of the TV/Burton fame.

Oh no I am with you on that man, I know this whole riddler thing is just some fanboy rumor but there is no denying that AMH will be in this but like you said he will probably be some villain like Rutger Hauers villain in BB not necessarily a familiar costume wearing villain just a corporate villain

I do think his character will have some significance ala Dr. Crane in Begins (the whole fear toxin panic in the end could not have happened if it weren't for Crane) my thoughts of characters he might play

Black Mask or maybe just Roman Sionis
I'd say due to the secrecy Hall's character will have importance and will be a character that we all know but with the brilliant William Fichtner playing the bank manager from the sides AMH might just play a Wayne Enterprises board member
I don't think Black Mask is possible.
He doesn't show up until late in the Batman mythos.
But, I agree that he might be a character of relevance . . . just not to the point of the Riddler or anything like that.
I want a Joker who is goofy and laughs at everything, even in situations involving his own death, etc.......basically laughs at everything, but is a homicidal maniac and killer, like in the comics. They type of Joker in the Batman comics where he gassed a room full of Preschool kids and had a tea party with his men in the same room.
There's laughing because he's manic crazy and sinister, then there's laughing like a nut because of overdone goofiness. I like the former. I liked Jack, but you can't redo Jack. It's best if you take it another direction, one away from the "silly" and closer to the "sick" ...
It would be cool if we finally get Harley Quinn in a Batman movie.
Anthony Michael Hall could mosdef pull off Edward Nigma. Riddler is the perfect bad guy for the BB universe, and they could make up for the mistake of the last Riddler, Jim Carrey. I would love to see what Nolan would do with Nigma's character in the BB world where crime is everywhere, everyone is a bad guy, not just the Batman villains.

As much as I would like to see the riddler in TDK I just don't see it happening Nolan would be setting up another Batman Forever (Batman 3) with Two Face and the Riddler as the villains unless of course it is pre Riddler just Edward Nigma but not the psycho Edward, Edward Nigma before he goes crazy maybe even have him a good guy working at Wayne Enterprises but even then I just don't see it happening

But I also want a performer who can portray best the Joker like we saw in the underrated cartoon Batman movie Mask of the Phantasm. Like E20 said, laughing at everything, even his own death.
I don't think Two Face is going to be in this movie. From what I understand it's supposed to be about the Bat-Gordon-Dent alliance and more about the early years of Batman (which is why Nolan won't introduce Grayson in this movie).
I think what might happen is instead of trying to make Gordon go insane, the Joke will go after Harvey instead.

Interesting how AMH is listed on IMDB, but he's the only one without a character credit. There's a couple of good pics on the movie site there.
