Damn, I thought it was August, not April.
Jesus, Ostertag? A bigger version of Beno?
I knew this guy when he was a teenager playing ball at Duncanville, and he was the definition of a guy who's size and talent just overwhelmed everyone but he didn't have the heart. The kid on those D'Ville teams that had heart was Marvin (Marcus?) Bell.
I'd have to puke a little every time I saw fat, shiftless, untalented, laughable Greg Ostertag in a Spurs uniform. Couldn't we get Felton Spencer back instead?
First Potapenko and now Ostertag.
I really do wonder about the whole Ian thing- it was Sam who was so high on him.
what # would he wear? is 50 taken?
RC did talk about Ian at the Toros luncheon. I think they might be wrangling over his contract, small though it may be.
Really- do they want to give him less than the 120%? Someone mentioned that as a way to keep below the luxury tax.
It could be. I can imagine they might still be shopping Beno and Barry and are holding off on signing Ian in case they get more players back than they send out.
man who cares if the Spurs save $150K next season? They won't be in this position again anytime soon.
The position to sign a 15th man who lost his job to Michael Wright?
The position to repeat as Champs. I guess you're worried about 2013.
So signing Ian = repeat?
I don't think so.
Was he the only player available this summer?
You said pay him.
I really think we're waiting for Malik to be bought out.
Pay him or perhaps sign someone better able to contribute today, luxury tax be damned.
I guess we're happy with a less than all-out effort to repeat.
mike miller is hustlin'
