You don't have to be a descendant of slaves (like you or me) to agree about how unjust the practice of slavery is, and was in the US. I'd imagine that people that complain about the injustices of slavery with their hands out are the ones who are told to get over it, since it ended a hundred years before we were born.

I don't know about that. Most drunk drivers are making a stupid and reckless mistake - but their is no malicious intent (Leonard Little is an exception because he killed someone...then did it AGAIN).
Killing dogs shows a malicious psychopathic intent and IMHO would fall somewhere between murdering and drunk driving.

The inability to find empathy for others usually manifests itself first towards animals before it is displayed towards members of the human race.
Serial killers dont compare to what Vick did, mindset, actions, nothing.
Someone that could bring themselves to take multiple human lifes have nothing in common with someone who fights and kills dogs, no matter how horrific the killings are
I don't think there's any more link between dogfighting and serial killers than there is between dogfighting and hunting. If you can't compare one set then you can't compare the other.
I think that like Michael Vick needs to go to prison with other US Americans that have Iraq with the is were South Africans.

that's not to say that everybody who abuses animals will become a serial killer. but there is a linkage that is MUCH higher than the general population.
