i'm sure he isn't underrated anymore, but Ken Watanabe is incredible.
LMAO typo smack
i'm sure he isn't underrated anymore, but Ken Watanabe is incredible.
I agree with the original reference to Don Cheadle and think that, despite an Oscar nom, he's quite underrated.
Jeffrey Wright.
Watch him as Peoples Hernandez in the Shaft remake.
Then watch him do a dead-on Martin Luther King in Boycott.
Then watch him as a gay nurse in Angels in America.
Then as a button-down lawyer in Syriana.
You won't believe you're looking at the same person.
Underrated= Sophia Bush![]()

Overrated: Halle "I am a ty actress" Berry A big YOU to that piece of director Brett Ratner for giving her a big role in x-men making the movie already worse than what it was!![]()

I can't wait for the new episodes to begin.![]()
He was so awesome in Tombstone. He made Doc Holliday out to be a badass...
he was much better in salton sea and kiss kiss bang bang.
he was good in syriana, but i didn't really care for that movie overall. it seemed like they could have trimmed one of the 10 different plots going on and fully developed 3-4 of them.
Ed Norton Oscar nominee, but still not not the super star that he should be.
Billy Bob Thorton
Eric Bana- great in Chopper and Troy
Val Kilmer in Kiss Kiss Bang Bang was excellent.
His performance in Spartan was phenomenal as well.
did you see the painted veil? that movie was great. norton was awesome in it. i think he even helped finance it.
norton was great in american history x. he's one of my favorite actors.
Most actors play a variation on a type. Robin Williams comedic performances are all variations on a type; his serious roles (all quality) are variations on the same emotional recluse.
Carrey, while his comedic characters have been variations on the off the wall persona, has had some variety in his dramatic performances.
I truly enjoyed The Truman Show, despite it's flaws, and a large part of that was the sympathetic Hankesque character he was able to create. Just because an actor plays a variation on a type, does not mean they are incapable of a good performance.
Robert De Niro, Al Pacino and Christopher Walken have been playing basically the same characters, with slight differences, the last few years. But, they are still delivering quality performances.
Anyway, Eternal Sunshine is one of my all-time favorite movies. Such a brilliant score.
I hope Norton fans have watched The Illusionist.
That and his performance in Kingdom of Heaven: Director's Cut
did you see the painted veil? illusionist was very good too.
Yes. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Norton and Watts were both excellent in the film. The guy needs to win an Oscar soon; it's just getting ridiculous.
By the way, the cinematography in Painted Veil was just stunning.
i think norton and watts paid the local rice farmers out of pocket cost for the harvest to not harvest that particular crop - they don't normally let it get that high.
i didn't anticipate enjoying this movie as much as i did. plus biel looked mighty nice in it.
I'm two ing thumbs up to Ryan Gosling...he may be one of the next greats.
As far as the Jim Carrey reference, I respect it because he's not considered serious yet has pulled off his transition almost admirably but on that note (seriously...VERY seriously:
Why not Steve Carell?

Very underrated, and one of my favorites, in both movies and television.
Yeah I forgot about him. He was also good in the Manchurian Canidate.
LOLZ. This is the best thought I've ever heard to reinforce why a movie is good.
This means "From Justin to Kelly" is better than "Sideways". It means "Glitter" is better than "Boondock Saints".
3 million idiots would have gone to see Episodes 1-3 if there was a giant turd present in every scene. Using sales figures to "prove" why your movie is better than the others mentioned is pure comedy gold.
