Hey you guys did horrible against a weak ans Def. Wait till you see what we got, we aren't the same team that BEAT you guys once last year, we are better and will give you guys a run for your money!! BE READY, BE SCARED, BE OUR NEXT VICTIM!!
The offense made some mistakes, mostly at the end of the game deciding to throw instead of run. Doubtful that it will happen two games in a row.

Congrats on beating the no balls Colts defense last year. I remember that scene of David Carr jumping all over the kicker and the entire team hugging each other like they'd just won the Super Bowl. Pretty sad when your team's greatest moment (aside from passing on Vince and Reggie) is beating the Colts by a FG. You should spare yourself the disappointment and start preparing for a Texans loss right now.

Problem is, Carr's no longer the QB.

So David Carr was the reason Houston sucked so much and now they're going to win Super Bowls with Matt Schaub?

No doubt. Last I heard it was a PCL strain.

Carr's a worse QB than Schaub, that's all. That doesn't imply a guaranteed SB trip, but it does portend a better future for the franchise, along with a better D. The Texans today are a better team than last year's version.

Actually, the greatest moment to this point is probably beating the Cowboys in the franchise's first ever game.

Getting rid of Capers was the first step. The second was dumping Carr.

i like the fact that our defense will almost keep us in games against all not so great teams.

That line is something else. Of course, given the amount spent on it, it should be. I feel really good about the run defense, considering how they shut down the Panthers' run yesterday plus what they did against LJ in the 1st game. Next up is improving the pass rush and the secondary. Dunta did a great job against Smith yesterday.

    Texans looked fantastic today.

Amazing how a QB who can read defenses and doesn't run directly into sacks can make the same offensive line look pretty good, huh?
    Fixed.

As for the Williams pick, Bush isn't exactly making a strong case for selecting Williams over him being a mistake this season.

Picking up Green in the offseason was nice too.

David Carr was the single biggest reason the Texans sucked as much as they did last year. The biggest reason the Texans have sucked historically is that Charley Casserly was their general manager for four seasons.

Thinking about Super Bowls is premature, but having the defending champions in town next year will provide a nice reality check to see how far the squad has actually progressed.

Who said the ans D was weak???
They have been outstanding for two weeks.

I think the ans will still be surprising people this season.

Getting rid of Capers and Casserly was an improvement in and of itself. Being able to nab Kubiak as Capers' replacement may go down as one of the best coaching hires in recent NFL history. Smith so far has turned in a solid job as Casserly's replacement.

The real shame is that McNair took so long to make the changes. Of course, had he dropped Capers earlier then he might not have been able to pick up Kubiak.

IIRC Kubiak was interviewed originally for the HC spot before the Texans ever played a down but he didn't think he was ready or some such.

He wins two games very early in the season and it's already the best coaching hire in NFL history???

    Well, in that case:

Wade Phillips and Mike Tomlin are ready to meet in the Super Bowl.

    it, why play the season?

And you'd be a on a losing side of a bet and you ing know it. We'd kill you all. I think its hilarious how texan fan gloats over a 2-0 start on their way to an 8-8 season. You know what we Cowboys fans do. We , we complain. Where some people see a win, we see we could of played better. We demand better. And thats because we are a playoff team. We know 2-0 means . We've been their before countless times. Sometimes to losing seasons, sometimes to Super Bowl winning seasons. We know their are 16 games in a season. Our expectations year in and year out far exceed texan expectations. You all start off 2-0 like half the teams in the league and you are ready to crown your own ass .

Hey but at least you have this going for you, Austin, Texas has decided to air all games of their state home team. The Cowboys. BOOM.... You bleed like Meyli.

Not when you consider that Kubiak inherited a team that went 2-14 the year before while Philips took over a playoff team and Tomlin took over one that won the Super Bowl 18 months ago. But, I know, that requires mental exertion.

They usually do, its pretty funny actually. They think that we don't know our team sucked the last years. We might even suck again this year and we are happy and thrilled our team is doing good so far. Yes our expectation are lower cause we havent done much, so coming in and winning 2-0(a franchise first) is a big deal. As much as the Cowboy fans hate to hear it thier def sucks this year, and yeah mostly because of injury, but everyone can use excuses. Ofactor said I would lose the bet if the boys played the texans today, but in pre-season our starters did much better than yours, so unfortunately thats all we have to measure on for this season.
