New England 45
Indianapolis 28
Yeah, the Colts actually have less points allowed than NE, although they've had their bye already, they've held their last 3 opponents to a combined 4 touchdowns, so even if they hadn't had the bye yet, the defenses would probably be very close in points allowed.
COLTS: 31
PATRIOTS: 21
Some Thoughts:
1. The Patriots' defense is overrated, and the Colts' defense is still underrated. (Obviously, this presumes a healthy Sanders.)
2. Compare the overall records of the teams Indianapolis has beaten vs. the teams NE has beaten. Under the cir stances, the Colts' 31 against Carolina was nearly as impressive as the Patriots' 52 against the 'Skins.
3. The Colts have been taking the Spurs' approach (conserve energy and personnel, a win is a win), while the Patriots have been playing like the Suns. A year from now, no one will care about the NE margin of victory in a meaningless game against a non-conference opponent ('Skins).
4. I do agree that the Colts are more likely to lose this game than the eventual playoff game.
Well if that fat piece of garbage Jason Whitlock has anything to say about it the team with the most white players or should I say "character guys."
Here is what I want to know: since the Colts are presumably the only team in the League that deserve to line up across from the Patriots, according to Coach Beli , will he shank them with a you score late in the game if the Pats have this game on ice?
Has Belichick shown anything this season to make you think he wouldn't run up the score on Indianapolis if given the opportunity? Of all the teams on the Patriots schedule, wouldn't you think Indy is the team Belichick would love to run up the score on the most considering we blocked them from a guaranteed SB win last season?
What's he supposed to do - kick a field goal? Seriously, not sure what you wanted the pats to do - if the Redskins were worth a , their defense could have stopped the conversions.
At least five of the touchdowns New England has allowed were a result of their second string or third string players playing late in the fourth quarter of blowouts against the starters of Cleveland, Miami, and Washington.
In actuality, the Pats are really allowing about 12 points per game and beating teams on average by about 30 points per game.
NE's defense is NOT overrated. They've held both the Chargers and the Bengels (two very good offensive teams) to their lowest point totals of their respective seasons.
The only team to put up point on the Patriots were the Cowboys, and 7 points came from Dallas' defense. 20 points is the most NE's defense has allowed, and that's to a very prolific Cowboys offense. Dallas as a team was averaging 35 points up until they played New England.
As for the Colts' defense, they're not bad. And, yeah, Bob Sanders is a stud in every way a football player can be. But, even though they've played overall better compe ion than the Pats, the Colts have not yet played one good offensive team.
I can't tell whether you're joking about the score since that was the final in their AFC Championship match-up.
Pats win now that they have the offensive firepower to keep up with the Colts. It was still close when they didn't, but that extra talent at the WR position puts the Pats way over the top.
Yep
With the F U: Pats--41/Colts--23
how can i pick the colts after a 52-7 loss?
i sure hope dungy sends some heat unlike my pussified coaching staff...
If the Colts are gigantic pussies (like the Cowboys, Chargers, Redskins, etc) then the Eff You TD will happen. If the Colts are who we thought they were, they'll stop that from happening on the field in fair gameplay.
Nobody runs up the score in the NFL - see the sig.
If the Cowboys are pussies because they lost to the Pats...then there are going to be alot more.
I was not aware that they had been sitting their starters that much, but it should have occurred to me, considering some of the scores.
I still believe that we have been watching the Colts on cruise control so far this season. The Colts can win this game if they can limit possessions. Manning has been working on this strategy for the last two seasons. He doesn't put up the gaudy numbers like he used to, but the Colts have improved as a consequence.
I dont know if you can prove any of the "facts" you just presented, so all that was just a nice opinion about how many points a game they are really scoring and how much they are winning by. I have watched every one of their games this year, and they still have many starters if not all of them in towards the end of the game. If they arent pulling Brady out in blowouts, what do they care if their defenders are out there. And the Steelers also held the Bengals (who I dont think are a very good offense at all this year) to 13 points as well. And the Chargers werent a good offense at all when the Pats played them, which was obvious the game before, when they only put up a season low 14 points up against the Bears as well.
Im glad everyone has overreacted to the Pats putting up such great point totals against ty defenses, while the Colts have still averaged 32 points a game against some really good defenses.

The Cowboys aren't pussies for losing to New England, but they certainly turned into pussies when the rookie fullback rammed it down their throats for the F-You TD.
dude, your smack is so ing weak and boring....
New England is a great team and they are not overrated.
But them. I hope the Colts put it on them. I want Freeney to plant Brady's face into the turf a few times.
I changed my mind.
I like the Colts at home to win outright.
Colts 27 Pats 23
