He's ranked that low at least partially because he makes poor decisions. That was the knock on him before the draft and it continues to be the knock on him now. I'm beginning to think the ans win in spite of him, not because of him.

Have you seen Roydell Williams, Justin Gage, Bo Scaife, etc?
You have?
Thank you.
I loved that play in the 3rd quarter when Roydell Williams beats his guy into the end zone, cutting in....but for some reason he looks over his outside shoulder for the ball. Of course, VY puts it exactly where it's supposed to go, Roydell realizes what a dumbass he is just in time to spin like a ballerina, fart, & fall to the ground. This of course happened immediately after Bo Scaife dropped a sure first down, causing them to have to air it out on 3rd & long.
But that's all Vince Young's fault.
I've seen them play, almost every game. They are mediocre at best. They drop balls, run wrong routes and make plenty of other mistakes. They aren't good as a group.
VY misses throws, makes terrible reads and makes plenty of other mistakes as well. He isn't a good QB right now. Leads the league in INT%.
VY and his WRs shoulder most of the blame for their offensive woes.
What part am I missing?
Vince has had some accuracy issues but for the most part I see him making the right decision. Of course, with the incompetent crew around him, ANY decision has the possibility of looking like a bad one.
If anything, his poor decisions stem from trying to involve his teammates and not simply running with the ball every damn time.
BTW, I hear Mike Williams showed up to the ans weighing 270+.
What a waste of talent.
It's hard to see those guys when the camera is focused on the ball which is 10 yards off of the receiver. It's not all his fault, but for the most part, his throwing ability sucks.
I think people are still in love with this guy because he's from Texas...and guided the Longhorns to a national le.
Vince Young isn't that bad. For the most part, VY looks bad because his receivers suck. ALL the other young QBs have good receivers and or other types of playmakers to help make them look good.
Vince is the only one without a safety blanket! My guess is, the only reason people call him inaccurate is because they just listen to what racists media guys like Merril Hoge say. The truth is Vince Young has no one around him to help him look spectacular. Matt had Fitzgerald Boldin before he got injured (and didn't look that much better than Young), Big Ben had Hines, Randle El and that RB that retired after the Ship and Cutler's receivers aren't bad.
Vince Young is THE guy on offense for the ans. None of those other guys would be doing what they're doing if they had to be the main/only option on the team. None of those guys could come out and have an 80 QB rating with Young's receivers.
Stop the hate. The man can pass and chances are, if he was white and the media was saying he needed better receivers all the people saying he sucks would be saying how he really just needs some help.

I'd love to see Ben Roethlisberger try and play with that ans lineup. He'd look just as bad as Vince, if not worse. There is NOBODY in this league more overrated than that piece of .
I agree. His team runs the ball about 40 times a game and he throws 15 passes which include dumps and screens. If he had to throw the ball downfield 30 times a game he would be one of the worst passers in the NFL. The only reason he looks good is because teams can't stop their running game. If you switch him and Brady he would look like .
Exactly. Last year the Steelers tried to incorporate a vertical passing game and give Ben more freedom, and he responded by throwing an ungodly amount of INT's and the team was horrible. They immediately went back to running the ball and giving him no freedom, and shockingly they looked pretty good by the end of the season.
Ben Roethlisberger is the most overrated player in the NFL by a mile.
Not quite, since he would have Randy Moss, and all you have to do with him is throw it up high in his vicinity, and he will come up with it almost every time.
Along with Reggie Bush. I feel bad for Bush, because I like him and wanted him to be successful, but the media hyped him up WAY too much, and that bugged me. He can still be a good all-around RB, but not at the level that the media expected him to, and until he learns to take a hit, he will never be a good rusher.
Oh, and don't forget Eli Manning, after those stupid "Eli Manning is unstoppable" commercials for that watch.
Bush will never be a premiere back. He can't punch it up the middle. He is dangerous in the open field, but its pointless if he cant even get there.
I don't feel bad for Bush at all. I hate how he celebrates every single 5 yard run like he's all bad. And he acts like he's never been to the endzone when he scores a TD.
Unlike TO.
T.O. wasn't hyped up to be the next Barry Sanders or anything like that when coming into the league. Plus, T.O. is a HOF caliber reciever. Bush hasn't done anything yet.
Christ, he's inaccurate at times because he doesn't set his feet and instead flicks the ball from his wrist. He needs to get more disciplined when throwing the ball. He's like a golfer who uses only his upper body right now. He needs to get better reading defenses as well.
He has the potential to be a top 5 guy in the NFL. He's not playing anywhere near that level and needs a lot of work to get there.
It isn't just his WRs.
