It goes to show the difference in a young player's development when you allow him to grow into his position and accept his mistakes (Parker, Manu) and when you don't.
Oh freakin please. He put himself in the dog house. The dog was wide open for him to get out, but instead he buried himself there.

That was a fun game.
Great for me since they were games I was able to see.
This is revisionist bull .
Beno sucked here because of Beno.
Um...to allow Beno to grow into the spot he wants to grow into would require Tony Parker no longer growing...
Beno obviously focuses against teams that waive or trade him.
At the rate he's going, he'll be playing like this almost every night.
Yeah, as you love to point out, those turnovers in a meaningless stretch against Houston were critical, and he richly deserved zero playing time as punishment. Great coaching decision. Even smarter to re-sign him so you could do the same ing thing all over again and have to pay more than his salary just to cut him. Genius.
Last time I checked he was in the NBA, doesn't it take some talent to be there?
Tonight, he kicked the Spurs ass. He could retire tomorrow and , he might be happy with that.
I never thought he was worth a , but hey, the past 2 weeks, he obviously has raised his stock value... , he is even starting... hahahaha...
So did Steve Smith... . It was the last time he didn't suck fror the rest of his career.
Yeah, because he constantly demanded to start. It wasn't just that he got a quick hook for blowing defensive assignments and was subsequently benched for the next five games.
More like ...
Parker and Manu listened to criticism.
Beno complained about Pop on myspace.
Parker and Manu practiced hard.
Beno sat out of practice with a hangnail.
Parker and Manu thought they had room to improve.
Beno was appalled when the Spurs asked him to work on his shot.
....
Yes, Beno thought that stretch was meaningless too -- that's why he was repeatedly assraped by a D-League power forward and that's why he was done for the season.Yeah, as you love to point out, those turnovers in a meaningless stretch against Houston were critical, and he richly deserved zero playing time as punishment.
His fault.
Um...you must not have read some of his recent interviews...and the reason 99% of the board wanted his ass gone. And is still happy he's gone.
Beno ended up getting cut because of Beno. The rest is revisionist bull .
Yep.
More likely, though, he'll just be out with an injury for a few weeks.
Dwash showed me more in his limited time on the floor than beno did his entire time here. ive said it before... i wouldnt have cared if he dropped 40 on us.. im glad he's gone.
Beno destroyed the Spurs the first chance he got and succeeded.
The interviews are why I wanted his ass gone, and why I'm still happy he's gone. Doesn't change the fact that Pop always seemed to be punishing him.
Or that he's a better player than most people on this board wanted to believe.
the only remorse that we should have is that Beno wasted his opportunity with the Spurs so much that we couldn't trade him for crap. Those that feel they're entightled to something instead of earning it never belong on the Spurs - that's the biggest anti-team characteristic to ever have.
Exactly.
But it doesn't change the fact he was lazy and disinterested as a Spur.
Yeah well...
You act like Tony Parker hasn't been injured in 3 years...he has, and Beno's never been as good as he was in his first start...3 years ago.
You act like Pop was the one shoving breakfast tacos down his hole and breaking his fingers.
No one forced that to get fat and worthless...his choice.
Beno's myspace keeps sending me links for free ring tones.
It's clear that Beno would rather be a starter for a loser than a contributor for a winner. Good luck to him.
Yeah, it's all on Beno. And Nazr shouldn't have made that three pointer... in' ingrates.
Bottom line...the only guy I know saying Beno sucked that is somehow surprised by this game is Sequ...
I never said he wasn't talented...very few did.
He lead the team in 3 shooting his first season here...he put up 25 in his first career start...and he had a game of 10 assists off the bench...all that as a rookie.
And he never played woth a after that...
And I wholeheartedly endorese Pop yanking his ass in the finals...becaause a ing championship is more important to me than his ing confidence...if he can't handle...get the out and go score 27 points in meaningless games to his hearts content.
