All the KG hate here IMO has to be mostly because of all the comparisons with TD over the years.
well i dont know for others...

im a spurs homer but never had anything serious against KG until i read that story with Rick Rickert; and after that saw that "oh poor me" interwiev in which he cried

2 very diferent faces which simply dont go together

And how is KG not playing for the paycheck? All those years of losing and in the past 3-4 recent years KG complaining about not having a good squad, but not willing to take a pay cut to recruit better talent to the Wolves? JamStone's stance is flawed.

Ummmm first of all, KG did take a paycut when he restructured his deal several years ago to give the Wolves more cap flexibility. Secondly, the CBA no longer allows players to restructure contracts or take paycuts. Stance is not flawed. You choose to view it a certain way. Everyone in the NBA plays for a paycheck. I stated how I don't want a talented player who "JUST" plays for a paycheck.

Obviously he did not take enough of a paycut to get a better supporting cast. I don't know where this KG man love has sprouted from Pistons fans, but the fact is that KG whines and is a little 'tough guy' . If you haven't realized that then you haven't payed close attention to KG as you may think.

You're an idiot. My respect for KG comes from the way he plays. If you think he's a punk or a , that's on you. I have a different opinion. KG took a paycut under the CBA back then and it's not his fault he had an idiot GM who violated CBA rules and drafted poorly and acquired bad players. Not every great player can play for RC Buford and Gregg Poppovich. I already gave evidence that you don't know what you're talking about when you said he should have taken a paycut by telling you he did. Now, you just want to extend the argument by calling the guy names. Well, that's fine.

    Enjoy.

    Choking and losing?
Punching rookie players for playing good?
Throwing hissy fits and acting like an ass when he can't perform and starts to lose?

Passionately and leaving it all on the court.

Why do you hate a person you don't even know personally so much?

I don`t hate Garnett, but still, what do you think about punching a teammate?

I think it was a very poor decision on his part. And, I think it's a mistake he should regret. I also think that every person makes mistakes. It doesn't change my view of him in totality as a player or person. I don't think Bruce Bowen is a punk for kneeing Ray Allen in the back and I don't think Tim Duncan is a whiney little because he whines every now and then. You take everything into account. KG made a very poor decision when he punched Rickert. I've done plenty of stupid things in my life but I still think I'm a good person. People like to point at one or two incidents to define a person. It doesn't work that way. No one is flawless.

I don't hate him, but I can't understand where this image of KG being such a great guy on the court came from.

He's a great player, but can you honestly say that KG doesn't come off as the type who wants to be seen as some sort of bad-ass wannabe? I mean he's gone to diss Tim Duncan's mother after she died, he punched Tim behind the head, when Duncan wanted to seperate Robinson and Griffen.

Sometimes his 'passion' makes him look like a wannabe rough thug.

I never said he was a "great guy" on the court. But, I like the way he plays. Ironically, it's the same reason why the guy in your avatar is one of my favorite players to watch play as well. Manu leaves it all on the floor. Iverson is one of my favorite players all time. Because he plays so hard all the time, every possession, at both ends of the court. That's why I like KG. I'm not judging KG the person, his personality, the way he acts towards other players whether he's winning or losing a game. I'm judging him the player, how intense he is, how he stands up for his teammates, how he plays hard no matter what the score. You choose to look at a few incidents and judge him as a person. Ever talk to the guy personally one on one? Ever talk to his friends and family? Ask his teammates what they think of him? You can have whatever perception you have of him. That's your opinion. I have mine.

Whining to the officials is not a poor decision, nor is it a disasterous character flaw.

Punching someone, just cause they showed you up, at a game of BASKETBALL. That's ed up!

I mean really, IF your going to punch someone, do it cause they harrassed your girlfriend, or pushed your friend. But over in' BASKETBALL, really?

I agree it was bad. What the do you want him to do? People make mistakes. People make stupid decisions. Does that mean they have to be forever criticized for them? You ever make a poor decision you regret? Do people who know about it constantly about that stupid mistake? Get over it. I like KG the player despite that poor decision he made. Do you still like Bruce Bowen even though he kicked someone in the back? Do you still like Tim Duncan even though he quit on Team USA because of the officiating in international basketball? People make mistakes. Was KG's decision to punch Rickert over the fact he scored on him in a practice game a pretty bad mistake? Sure. But, it's a mistake you get over, whether you're KG, Ricky Rickert, or NBA fans. People dwell way too much over a few incidents a person in the public eye may have. It's such an unforgiveable sin to you, fine. Don't like KG. But, don't criticize me for liking KG because I can get over a stupid mistake he made.
