For the most part the contestants were so annoying that I was actively routing against them. Around the time that the "life coach" mentioned that she was a life coach for the third or fourth time I began hoping she'd get snapped in half. Watching her hang on for dear life as her opponent somehow beat was hilarity.

They went way deeper into their contestants lives and tagged ty piano music on top of it as well.

I completely agree with these two points....but yet I still liked the show alot. Maybe it was just the nostalgia of it all.

Another beef I had was that it appeared that the Gladiators need a of alot more practice ate the different events. The looked like amateurs.

The rings appeared way too easy for the compe ors to win. Same with Joust.

And I could really do without Hulk and Ali.

I posted this at Duel's board this morning about the show.

OK, you all know I LOVE wrestling, right. Now I admit my passion for American Gladiators. But I was left a bit let down last night. As cheesey as it was in the 80's and 90's NOTHING compared to last night. Why sooo over the top scripted? These contestants and Gladiators tried WAY too hard to sell themselves and it looked like Ameatur Wrestlers at like training level.

Those who watch wrestling know the BEST wrestlers of all time really don't try hard to "SELL" the charecter, they ARE the charecter. I just don't remember Gladiators being that OVER the TOP, and yes I watch the re-runs! I just found it odd. Could not find any Gladiator to want to root for and man the contestants this week sucked! I'll give it another week, but that may be it

Anyone watch last night? Did you see the woman contestant who was a bull rider, Belinda Gavin?

She's a porn star, who also goes under the name Kylie Wyote.

I like it. Some what. Cheese is thick, which is a good thing.

    Otherwise, just an observation...

3rd episode (Hebrew Hammer injury to knee in first event (powerball), Christian wad takes his place). The black dude was dominant in the events. Everyone knows points are used for the headstart in Eliminator.

    Anyway...

I laughed my ass off during the male Eliminator. Its like every stereotype just came true about black people and "not being able to swim". The dude was dominate throughout the show, but the moment he jumped in the water, he was a dead duck.

Funny watching someone that doesnt have any clue how to swim try it. He was under the water kicking his legs as fast as he could (with no help from his hands, btw). I was laughing so hard, I almost dropped my beer.

I want a .gif of that. His little legs kicking like speedy gonzalez going less than 1mph underwater. Classic.
