after he realized what he did giving a tip (under his income level) of 300G it's absolutely nothing... and like your colleague you haven't given me a reason why you should hate the Spurs... Mavs fans are very secure about themselves... i don;t blame them.. they have to be very loyal... i actually admire them...
While we all like to pound our chests when our team prevails, we need to keep in mind that we as sports fan really have zero influence on our favorite team(s). When your team wins, it's unethical to flaunt their accomplishment as if it's your very own personal accomplishment. Because your behavior, your prayers and your ability to quote statistics have zero effect on the outcome of a game.
So in summary, calling someone a winner or loser in regards to the sports team that they support is downright ignorant. However, I'll be more than happy to retract my statement when you start calling the plays and/or paying the players salaries.
Do you think Mark Cuban gives a about the Riverwalk one way or the other? Have you ever heard of Andy Kaufman? He's doing a routine and playing a heel. Way to let it go over your head.

Oh yeah, the Spurs are loveable class acts! They never whine to the refs, they never cheap shot their opponents, they just put on their hard hats, pack their lunch pails and go to work. When they do it, it's basketball "the right way." When their opponents do it, they're dirty thugs. I don't think the Spurs are any dirtier or lacking in class than any other team, but it's so comical the way you rubes buy into the whole "The Spurs are such a class organization doing things the right way" meme. I'm sure mavs fans have their most hated Spur and good for them, that's why the Spurs-Mavs rivalry has always been heated and interesting.

Seriously just take a break from ST. Thats just the nature of the beast. This is just what fans of rival teams do. Its been like this for Spurs fans since the laker and Jazz vs Spurs rivalry's days too. Do Spurs fans respect our rivals? Most of us do. But do we like them? No!

Oh, I know, I'm not trying to be a board nanny, smack talk is half the fun of a rivalry. And I was trying to give as good as I get. I have to admit that if I were a fan of another team that I might actively despise the Mavs. I can understand why opposing fans would hate Stack and Terry. But I don't get the hate for Dirk. I have nothing but respect for Duncan, although he wears that uniform, you can't hate him. Dirk is not as good as Duncan, but he's a similar kind of star: he doesn't care about his numbers, he does what his coaches ask him to do, always gives credit to his teammates and others when things go well and doesn't shy away from the blame when things go bad.
And I have to admit that I'm envious of the way the Spurs have combined luck with skill: it's not a guarantee that Tim Duncan would have lifted another franchise to such great heights, he has been surrounded with appropriate role players and unselfish team-first guys. The Shaq/Kobe Lakers dissolved prematurely because those two guys couldn't agree on who was going to get the credit and be the #1 guy. The Spurs Dynasty will be toppled by old age, not petty jealousies.
just wanted you to see that i agree with you about Dirk Findog.. i wish i had him on ANY team i support... but players leave an imprompt on the teams (i am a spur fan because of D-Rob not a Manu bandwagonner here) and Dirk is not lucky to be surrounded by the players he is now... if Only Nash and Fin would still be with him... who knows if you wouldn;t have a ring right now... and probably this poll would have never been created...
i also gotta ask you to please don;t think its personal... i work for an american company based in Dallas, so the majority of my american friends in real life are Mavs fans.. i also have to confess that i have seen live more games of the Mavs than any other team as i always got to Dallas... and I have absolutely no problem or real hate... part of the fun of being a sports fan is bragging rights on rival teams... friends?

To me, nobody among Mavs organization has done soemthing worth being hated.
I dislike some of Mavs' players or Cuban but it's far from the hate.

What a ing ridiuclously stupid thing to say. 300 grand is a lot of money to the city of SA and those who enjoy the Riverwalk. Why in the in world does it matter if it's not that much money to Cuban? I bet it's more percentage wise of his net worth than you or anyone else here has ever donated to the city of SA.

Yes, that's a fair amount. But, what were Cubans intentions for donating 300,000. Was it really to clean up the River? I think San Antonio has enough money in the bank to clean up the River. Now if the 300,000 was to contribute to a city fitness center, or maybe to repairing the pot holes throughout the city...
i don't hate any of the Mavs, I find their inep ude and continued choketabulousness to be quite enjoyable.
