Damn, Last time I drank any Joya's (Uva and Pina are my Favs) was sooooo long ago! Before 1989 I think. I don't remember seeing any in TJ when I was living in San Diego.

I believe we bought the Big Red at Vons grocery store.. either that or Ralphs but I am pretty sure it was Vons.

I've never seen it in Orange County. At least around my parents area.

I had never heard of it until we moved to Texas 10 years ago.

Actually, I agree. I only buy quality liquor but only every so often as I like a functioning liver.

Big Red is a south Texas staple; I grew up in west Texas and never heard of Big Red until I dated a "Valley boy" in college. All the stores carry it now but I don't think it's a big seller there.

I would agree...I grew up in SA also and was never a fan of Big Red.
