Hedo is a better defender than Spurs fans ever gave him credit for and a good rebounder at his position. The 2003-2004 team was the one that Pop said was the best rebounding Spurs team he had ever coached.
Turkoglu was a very good defender for the Spurs (especially against Nowitzki). He wasn't brought back because he choked big-time in the playoffs.

Still, that's the past and those two threes he hit at the end today were badass. The second he let the game-winner go I knew it was good. Aside from that airball, his stroke looked pure and he's pretty clearly an All-Star this season IMO.

Good win for the Magic. It sucked not having KG out there but I am proud of this Celts team for fighting back from 16 down. They didnt quit. It is nice to see this team show heart. Celts have been shaky but every team so far has this year. Spurs got their asses kicked at home last night, Pistons lost 3 in a row and 2 of them being to teams under .500. Sit KG until he is ready to go.

Hedo became the convenient scapegoat after the Lakers series, but the truth is many Spurs choked in that series and could not hit a shot-- Try Horry, Parker, Bowen... Thay all played poorly in those 4 losses to LA., especially Horry. Hedo was 24 years old and not meant to be the savior of the team. He was a role player and a good one. For years now the Spurs have lamented that they did not have a young wing player to play the 4 when the team goes small, and Hedo was the perfect choice for that.
