i will always love him for missing that free throw that set up the memorial day miracle for Sean.

Giving it some thought, I'm on board now.

Stoudamire for the vet min is not a bad deal, considering who is available and what it would take to land them.
I mean, I can think of a ton of guys in the league I'd like to see running the Spurs' offense with TP out, but Stoudamire is the one who's available, at a price the Spurs can afford, and he apparently wants to join. You can't ask for much more than that.
Hopefully, Stoudamire is hungry enough to come in and make a difference for our team.
I think Boston is holding out for Cassell being that he and Garnett are friends.
At that price it's hard to argue with signing him.
I used to be a much bigger fan of his, I remember wearing his Raptors jersey when the All-Star game was in town, but he fell off the map when he landed in Portland...
More like Ice-t.
what will be his jersey #?
Wore #3 in Portland....not sure though.
is he still beating es down and smoking crack?
With any luck, yes.
The only spur with a visible tattoo...
Stoudamire to sign with Spurs
The opportunity for playing time and a recent injury to Tony Parker apparently tilted the scales in favor of San Antonio for former University of Arizona guard Damon Stoudamire.
Stoudamire will sign a pro-rated contract with the Spurs as early as Thursday, after two conversations with Suns general manager Steve Kerr within the past 24 hours led nowhere.
“We spoke to him. He understands what we had to offer and he felt San Antonio was the better opportunity,” Kerr said.
Memphis released Stoudamire on Monday and he cleared waivers Wednesday, freeing him to sign a with any team for the pro-rated veteran’s minimum salary of $1.2 million.
Many NBA observers thought he would end up in Boston but general manager Danny Ainge decided he didn’t want to mess with the chemistry of his league-leading Celtics.
Kerr said that with the trade deadline looming on Feb. 23, the Suns are not looking to make any changes, “although that’s a situation that changes daily.”

now we can win one for damon, just the motivation we needed......
did you all see in today's daily dime on ESPN.com that more than half of the voters of the survey says that Stoudamire will not be able to save the spurs from ELIMINATION? wtf????? it actually says "Not enough to save aging team from elimination" read it yourself and vote it is at the right bottom of the screen...

whether we sign mighty mouse or not, even with or without sam cassell
other team fans will just continue to hate
i dont really care who we play, once we secure a playoff spot, than BELIEVE
I just saw it on the morning news.
Welcome to the team, Damon.
He is an anomaly...he makes big shots in the 4th quarter, but misses free throws to lose games.
I guess just keep the ball out of his hands in the closing seconds?
The Spurs remind me of some daredevil or trapeeze artist or tightrope walker. They stand at the edge of the tightrope, egging the crowd on, getting the crowd to throw tomatoes and hoot and holler at them. Each year it takes more of a swoon to get the conventional wisdom, the casual fans, and media to get to that point again, to write off the Spurs, this time finally for real (because they've been fooled so many times before).
Then the patient Spurs realize the moment is right at last, smile almost imperceptibly and nod as they take that first step across the tightrope. All eyes are on them now.
