i know this wasn't intentional, but bravo. What Dane Cook does in movies can hardly be described as "acting", so I think "staring" is actually the perfect description.

I just saw Bob Sagget's HBO Special. It was so bad that he had me wishing Dane Cook was on.
Idk what everyones deal is. Dane is hilarious. older people like most of my family dont find him funny. it may be a generation thing. idk. he makes references to alot of things and things people do but you never think about it. but if you dont know what the hes talking about then i can see how its not funny. vicious circle, retaliation, and harmful if swallowed are great. his other stuff like Comedy central presents is blah.
o and the cashew thing doesnt really work cus itll hit you in the chest or doesnt get high enough.

Demetri Martin is pretty cool.
She was funny until she wore out her one bit. All she has is the "sweet innocent looking girl who says incredibly shocking, disgusting things" and that got old pretty fast.
I'm directly in Dane Cook's target age group, I "get" his stuff, and it's not funny. Not one bit. Sorry, but you're just a dumbass with bad taste.
I used to like Dane Cook but his inability to produce new material on a consistent basis killed his popularity. I had his first CD and used to lulz at it all day long, but now the only one that I think is funny is the one about the couple getting into an argument and making up... and even that one is barely funny.
I recently saw both Jeff Dunham dvds and I laugh my ass off. They told me he is a ventriloquist and I was like ok this will be boring. Only one I had seen before was Nacho Estrada back in elementary. I was laughing my ass off the whole night.
Dude I remember Nacho Estrada! When I went to Woodstone he picked me out of the crowd to be a volunteer for some music skit.
ok so I thought you explained why you think Dane Cook is funny when you said at the bottom you also like Carlos Mencia- the only person more unfunny than Dane Cook.
Plus, there is nothing to "get." That statement is like saying that Dumb and Dumber can only be understood by a certain viewer. Dane Cook is just a 6th grader in a 35 year old man's body. He makes up stories and acts like a moron to impress people and get people to laugh at him, just like a 6th grader does
I've never heard her standup, but her show is my kind of humor. I love dry comics like Hedberg and Silverman seems really witty and dry in her interviews on Stern and other shows. It might be a Jewish thing.. but yeah I like her

notice how nobody directly defends this guy's material, they just come at you with things like "he is very successful financially" "he is a handsome man" and "he has a good business/marketing sense." ..its all very telling.
the top 3 draws/highest earning standups are dane cook, larry the cable guy, and artie lange, of which none are talented standups and only one is funny to begin with

Artie is really funny on the Stern show when he doesn't even try to be, but his standup isn't that good
Never heard Artie on Stern's show...nor have I ever heard Jackie Martling on Stern's show. I have heard, and laughed my ass off, to his and Jackie's bits on Sirius Raw Dog 104.
I'm one of the few Sirius listeners (apparently) who has NO use WHATSOEVER of Howard Stern. I'm guessing they are regular guests on his show.

the man is unbelievably funny in conversation and is god's gift to story telling. ...he pretty much admits that he is not that great as a standup, but can still earn about $70,000 a night doing it.
