This may work out well for the Spurs. Marion is much more dangerous, on a consistent basis, than Shaq at this point in his career. Shaq also has major recurring health issues. It's a toss-up whether he'll be on the court in May-June. It's very possible you'll see a Suns team entering the playoffs without Marion, and missing Shaq, or with a very diminished Shaq. I do not think this trade helps Phoenix. I do not think they got equal value...not at all.
