Says the man with Brent Barry in his avatar .

Question - IF Pop did want to make a trade do you think he'd prefer a scorer/shooter like Mike Miller or do you think he'd rather a big like KT, Wilcox, Haslem?
    Udonis Haslem.

    So do I.

    If they got Kurt Thomas.

, I'd be ready to order the back to back champions gear.

    Wow you're a ginormous vagina.

I can see how Kurt Thomas automatically = Spurs Championship.

Everyone wants to assume that just because the Spurs make a trade they are back to being favorites...

trade for miller, we'll win a championship
trade for Haslem, we'll win a championship
trade for Artest, we'll win a championship
trade for kurt Thomas, we'll win a championship
trade for PJ Brown, we'll win a championship
Lets talk Dan Majerle and Vinny del negro out of retirement, we'll win a championship.....stfu

None of these guys are stars, not to mention there's no telling if they'll come in immediately and fit with the Spurs system...a deal would be nice, but lets not our pants at the very idea of "Kurt Thomas" of all people being a spur.

I'm fairly certain that with both health and the acquisition of any of Haslem, Miller, Thomas and Artest I'd be willing to concede that San Antonio wins back-to-back les. Haslem is a fantastic PF who can hit the open jumper, grab double-digit boards and generally do the dirty work on defense freeing up Duncan for weak-side blocks. Thomsa would be similar. Miller would give you an all-around talent in his prime that you could insert in the starting lineup and rest assured he'd net you 12-to-18 ppg, 5-7 rpg, 3-4 apg with 2-3 made threes per. Artest is Artest and you better hope he never sees that you won't label him a star. He'll you up!

Wow you're one pissed off dude.

I don't recall seeing anyone in this thread except T-Park saying anything about a definite championship with this trade. I think most people would think that it could increase our chances at winning the Championship. I don't think any Championship would be guaranteed with any trade. You still have to play the games.

This is what many seem to forget...people seem to think that ANY trade will do just fine...this isnt the case. Since when did Udonis Haslem cancel out Pau Gasol?

And Tpark's Flip-flopping makes Mit Romney look good...either way, it seems that spurs fans are so quick to hop on and off the bandwagon...it gets old.

the Spurs are fine without needing a "major" player to shake things up.

When fully healthy, I really think the big 3 can beat anyone in a 7 game series.

Udoka should be a pleasant surprise through the playoffs, and if we were hypothetically get Kurt Thomas, that would just be icing on the cake to a playoff run.

Since when no one on the Spurs can hold him to that.

    And get 12 and 10.

And also guard Carlos Boozer on his own, and Shaq, and Gasol.

Haslem on the Spurs would be perfect.

Dirk only made 20 of 55 shots in the last 3 games of the NBA Finals against the Heat. That's why people refer to him getting shut down by Haslem.

Read my last post. Maybe you'll get it. Haslem guarded Dirk very well when the Heat put him on Dirk. Dirk sucked the rest of the way.

Dirk's game from the outside doesn't equate to Gasol's game on the inside...or even a broke down shaq's in my opinion.

BTW: by this i mean with Haslem guarding...

I didn't say it did. I'm just saying you can stop being an ass with your "20 and 10" talk and actually look at the boxscore.

The point isnt the 06 finals, or even Haslem specifically...the point is that "ANY trade possible" doesnt make the spurs automatic for NBA champs.

And if you wanna get technical he averaged over 22 ppg during the finals...i got that from the box scores.

No trade makes anyone automatic for NBA Champs. But Haslem or KThomas would help the Spurs on D. The Spurs have Elson.

Personally i'd rather have KT than Haslem...Haslem can get a hand up on an outside shooting big man, but i dont think he can bang with the new bigs on LA, the celtics, or even the suns.

And Elson's the guy who got 12 and 14 on Shaq in Nov.
