I was so-so on Rasho, but I appreciated things he did well, but also hated a lot of things he did not so well. I would welcome him back on the team if his salary was similar to that of Elson, simply because he is decent at defending the big players and he knows the system. $2-3M would be acceptable, anything more, no thanks.
PS - One thing that always pissed me off was how Rasho fans would act like the way he set screens was a big reason for TP being able to get into the lane. Laughable. He gets 2 rebounds in 20mins, BUT HE SETS GREAT SCREENS!!!.. Sure he did, but come on, most big men do, and none of Tony's stellar play was due to Rasho, quote him all you want but we all know players will talk well of there teammates to keep the peace

I also remember that Rasho was the one guy that could at least half assed handle Shaq and Yao. Yeah, he seemed soft most of the time, but he did have some really good games as a Spur.
Rasho isn't going to be a 14/14 guy, but then again who have we had at center since DRob that is?

Generaly: I don't get any any fan of any given team who is able to hate(!) member of his own team.
I also don't get bashing team's ex-members. How does bashing Rasho help Spurs? Really?
Does Rasho deserves bashing and hating just because he was not chest-thumping pimp? He was (and is) great teammate, disciplined and quiet. He never asks for attention and is always ready to play for the team, not for his own stats.
And right now - I'd trade Bonner&Elson for Rasho in the moment (actually Elson+Barry would work)
Once again, a thread about international players has been reduced to a hostile war of words between citizens of the countries each player represents.
It is sad, really, because if Rasho wasn't Slovenian, he would be another hard-working BWS. Ploto, ask yourself this question, if Rasho was, say, American, would you care?
BTW, I liked Rasho when he was a Spurs, and I still like him. He gave his all on the floor (however limited it was), and played great team defense. He has to traded due to his contract, and that is none of his problem.
QFT. Rasho was too insignificant to be hated in the first place. People kinda felt sorry for his slow, soft, awkward play. And bagged on him in the same way that 20 other teams' fans bag on their centers (Center is the most overpaid position in the NBA and it aint close).
Then you (ploto) come along with indignation that would be understandable if the Spurs had traded David Robinson! People really got tired of you dissing the current Spur centers and trying to compare Rasho favorably with them. No FO with any sense would pay Rasho 8 million to under-perform. Except the Raptors of course.
Your constant plugging of Rasho and the Raptors is what has irritated most of the fans on this board. The Rasho-nut-hugging is fine if you're going to swoon over his personality, looks et al (a la angel_luv), but using basketball arguments to try and position Rasho as a valuable commodity in this league is ridiculous.
Rasho sucks. For 8 million per year he is among the leaders in suckage per $. It is what it is. The Spurs don't need him or want him. So try and find a new angle please.

All I'm saying is that Pop signed Rasho to do what he does, which he did. He was a hard worker, classy guy and loyal to the spurs and should be remembered as such regardless of his fanbase.

My friends have been telling me for a long time that Sho was losing his hair but I would never believe them.
But the other day I was showing a friend some of my Spurs pictures and saw that my friends were right.
