True. This won't matter in the long run but now is the wrong time for McDonald to break out his investigative reporting hat. Where is this sleuthing when the Spurs are making a trade or Duncan is signing his extension? That's when McDonald needs to break a story. Not when the Spurs might be trying to cir vent a rule.

There are rules, there are people behind this rules and there are choices.

But some fans and media acting like they are re ed or something.
Stay quite so the league would not recognize the rules they provided?
Like it wasn't the case from the very begining with teams and players having their options. Next year thay can change the rules into not 30 days but one year not singning with the team that traded you.
