Shaq is our best player right now. I don't know what else to say. Heh.
so i checked the suns boards and they are all convinced its not shaq's fault. they say that he is really doing good and is playing better then anyone else on the team..3-5 since the shaq era...i guess its just coincidence then lol.
Shaq is our best player right now. I don't know what else to say. Heh.
Damn the Suns have really sucked since they got Shaq, the 2 just dont go together. The Suns made a desperation deal and this is what happened to them.
best becuz he is making everything around him worst?![]()
Seriously it doesn't matter how good Shaq's numbers are. He has destroyed D'antoni's system single handedly though losing Marion could easily be said the MVP of that system. Bell or Diaw for Shaq would be a fair offer but Marion is clearly better than Shaq.
Steve Kerr, Mike D'Antoni, Dan D'Antoni, and Tom Leander will all be looking for jobs by next Christmas.![]()
He had 18 boards
What the happened to Nash....he is now looking like he did in his dallas days, mortal

his space is gone, and his best leaper as well
no more of that dribbling along the baseline finding a cutting amare or marion for the dunk
18 rebounds doesnt matter when the big shaqtus clogs the lane from the smooth flowing offense the suns had. 18 rebounds doesnt matter when he doesnt play defense in the middle causing players to have layup drils.
Once again...its NOT a concidence that the Suns are now losing since Shaq has been here. YES, his numbers are great, but he himself is the reason that the team cant do what they are accustomed to doing.
I absoultely cannot understand those people who are blaming Shaq for the Suns downfall.
Marion was able to hide a LOT of Amare Stoudamire's deficiencies and D'Antoni's poor system of SUns basketball. Amare is an absolute joke of a player. What exactly does he do without Steve Nash? Is he capable of creating his own shot consistently? No. Is he capable of passing the ball? No. Amare can score 25-40 points off of Nash pick and roll assists and that's all. What exactly makes this guy so special that the Suns were hesitant to trade him for KG?
Not only that, but as I said in another thread, his defense is hands down the worst I have ever seen from a big man. Even worse than Fransico Elson.
Suns should have tried trading Amare, not Marion.
Ouch, embarrassing loss. I'm not surprised we lost in Denver on a back-to-back, but giving up 126 points on 53% shooting. Absolutely awful. It's good to see Shaq play well, though.
Alright, NuGGeTs-FaN, what's my punishment?![]()
How do you shoot 53% from the field...48% from 3 and outrebound your opponent and still end up losing the game?
Turnovers and terrible perimeter D, our two major problems since The Matrix left.
that was the response i was looking for
Mike D'Antoni - genius.
I love how he doesn't think he's stubborn when he only puts 7 guys on the floor for a game.
Steve Nash Sarcastically Asks Shaq To Slow Down
PORTLAND—In the midst of four consecutive fast breaks during their Tuesday night game against the Trailblazers, Phoenix Suns guard Steve Nash repeatedly voiced scathingly sarcastic comments regarding newly acquired teammate Shaquille O'Neal's lack of speed. "Whoa, slow down there, big fella! You're making us all look bad!" said Nash as he and the other four Suns players on the court ran past a hunched-over O'Neal during another breakaway. "Somebody reign in Lightning there! Hey, Shaq, we're really gonna need you to stand around and miss free throws for us in the playoffs, so don't blow your wad just yet." Nash often makes similar remarks when the teammates are eating meals together, usually without the sarcasm.
