ESPN's John Clayton reports suspended CB Pacman Jones is likely to be reinstated before the NFL Draft in late April.

Clayton confirms that Dallas is showing the most early interest, but won't rule out New Orleans or New England as suitors. If Jones is reinstated sooner than expected as Clayton alludes to, several other clubs will likely jump into the mix. Clayton believes a fifth-round pick could get a Pacman trade done.

For a 5th? Absolutely. You give him a contract full of performance and behavior clauses and get it done.

Per Peter King of CNNSI.com, he thinks that JJ will pull the trigger on a two first round picks for the #4 pick to get McFadden and sees the possiblity of Ocho Cinco going to Dallas for the Cowboys #1 in 2009.

I don't see all that happening but damn!

You get Pac-Man and at his age your solid at CB for a long time. No need to draft one now.

Then and only then would I be ok with them unloading 2 for McFadden..

    red flag...

    2. I think, by the way, that if I were Cowboy owner Jerry Jones, I'd send my private eye to check out Pacman pretty closely before entering into any trade discussions with Tennessee. I'd especially want to find out about any possible pets on Pacman's property.

Maybe but also a good idea given what players do these days. He could be just saying make sure there isn't anything there, not neccesarily that there is definetly something there.

i would still use a 2nd round pick on a CB

i just read a story( cant find it but still looking) that a guy was talking with jerry and jerry saying we really need a reciever and we will be seeing him doing what it takes to bring a big name in here..

    whats intresting?

What is the organization's No. 1 priority between now and training camp?

"Without question, creating a threat on the other side of the ball from [Eldorado] Owens," said Jerry.

Just what I wanted to hear. Many others haven't agreed, but to me, finding another receiver, or two, topped any list of needs.

"I've ruled out nothing when it comes to those options, or possible options," said Jerry.

That statement is backed by another NFL voice who said Friday, "within the league, you hear the Cowboys are attempting, or will attempt, to work a trade for Chad Johnson, for Roy Williams, for maybe others."

    Hmmmmm...

One last thing on receivers. Finding one in the draft at the end of the first round, where the Cowboys' have two picks, has become remote.
"Don't think so," was the Jones comment."

Hoping that means guys like boldin, williams, or johnson will be headed this way..i would trade the 28th pick for any of those guys..

alot of people say cincy wont trade CJ b/c the cap hit...is it possible we send cash involved to help lower the hit? or Johnson restructure his deal so it wont be a huge hit?

    Not sure that's legal.

    Anyone know?

If that were the case a ton of teams would do that though.

  21. #71
Well i figured it was possible to send cash..kinda like baseball haha...but im sure johnson could restructure if he wanted to..and cincy was willing

Maybe you can send money but I don't think it would help the cap.

No but he can still be traded.
No he cant, players cant be traded while on the suspended list.
