    Stop all the frickin lameness.

Parker was injured for several months. I don't know how anyone thinks his "inconsistency" this season is due to anything else but that. He's finally coming back into game shape and getting his legs under him and we should be thankful for that. The Spurs need the Big 3 and some role players to all be rolling if they a chance in of making it out of the West.

Enough with all the trash, all the time. It's almost playoff time .. Spurs fans need to start battling with the opponent's fans and stop taking on each other.

Here's hoping that Tony is getting into shape, Manu finds some time to rest, Timmy is in MVP form and Bruce is pissed off
I agree and am lame myself for letting all of it get the best of me. I am so ready for TP to get his wings back and it start opening more things up on offense because this season has put a lot of pressure on the players due to injuries and cohesiveness, timing.

Damon and Kurt are doing fine. I think we need to give SA some credit, played some tight defense tonight. Manu just struggled, Duncan struggled the first half, and we came back strong, showed some heart and areas to improve on. Detroit is an awesome team this season and we're not that far off, or as "off" as our own fans think we are.

Do you think that can really happen? I hope so, but I don't remember that ever happening. People here have always gotten into it as long as I've been hanging around. , even when we won les they ed at each other.

Here's hoping that Tony is getting into shape, Manu finds some time to rest, Timmy is in MVP form and Bruce is pissed off
    I'm with you.

He was injured for several months. I know you get that, right?
I know. I said in a different reply in more words.

I think Tony is fine, it's just injuries happen to everyone and it was his time, now he needs to keep doing what he's doing and show he can turn things on again is all. (like the last couple games)

The TP hate on these boards is worse than the trolling. The guy was our Finals MVP and because he's French and doesnt speak Spanish he gets knocked on constantly.

TP has a bad game and it's time to trade him. Manu disappears in a significant game, like tonight, and no worries, right?

I see no problem with calling out this forum double standard.
That's because we all think he is tired and injured. A thigh contusion is no joke. You don't get over them in a day or two.

TP is said to be healthy. TP needs to step up now and stay consistent. Great game from Tony tonight. Guys like Michael Finley, Damon Stoudamire, Jaque Vaughn, Robert Horry, Fabricio Oberto all need to take a long hard look at themselves and their individual games and realize they NEED TO step the up.

I'd say fantastic in 3, well in 3 and piss poor in 2. That's my opinion. Doesn't mean I have a bad memory. It means Tony can do better than that and I personally have seen it so maybe he keeps it up now. TP was more dependable than Manu at one time and now that the lines have crossed fans are flipping over some seriously stupid .
You said "one good game out of several bad ones", which is what I objected to. Now you're admitting that he has played at least "well" in 6 out of the last 8, I see that you didn't really mean what you said, or you didn't say what you meant very well which is clarified in your post quoted above.

Tony is not the problem with this team, nor is Manu or Tim. In fact, TP exemplifies the problem - he has footspeed where most of the rest of the team doesn't. The problem lies with the withered, old, inconsistent, one-dimensional role players we're trotting out. They are mostly past their prime in a league that is constantly getting younger, quicker, and more athletic.

Time to rewrite the Spurs' paradigm. The old one got us 4 rings in 9 years, but the NBA has moved on and this offseason we have to try and catch up by adding some youth, energy and athleticism.

It's pretty obvious that Spurs Nation either undervalues, underrates or underappreciates Tony Parker to an amazing degree. If you just went by what the average Spurs fan says about Parker, you'd think he was liability instead of a star young point guard. The one season where it's Parker the one who misses more games, suddenly being injured is somehow the fault of the injured player.

But yeah, one exciting aspect about this team is that the Big Three hasn't played well at the same time since November. And yet, they are still not far off the pace of past years. If Parker can continue getting healthier, Manu can get refuel and Duncan can turn it on, this team should be fine.

    Go Los Espurs.

If Tony is injured they need to stop bull ting us and telling us that his ankle is good now. I think even Tony himself said his ankle was pretty good a week or so ago. Tony has played pretty good lately apart from 2 or 3 bad games out of his last 8 or so, but he can still play better. He's not in top form yet so if he's healthy expect TP to play even better once he gets more games under his belt.

Tony doesn't speak Spanish, is black, and has a latina wife. No wonder the hate is strong.
    Tony = Black

    Manu = latino

Thats the reason SA is all gaga over Manu and hates on Tony.

Thats my theory, and JAG and others agree with it.

I don't see the problem here except for the Tony vs Manu being perpetuated in every ing thread.

Some idiots will always call out Tony for a bad game. You can't stop them but you can ignore them.

If you complain about the lack of threads calling out Manu about a game like this, be done with it and start that thread. Call him out.

If you complain about Tony not getting his props while Manu threads lord all over the board after a fantastic game, start an "Official Tony Parker is Awesome" thread.

    Simple.

That said, Manu sucked bad tonight.

I don't think he's injured now. However, he has been recovering from his injury and getting into game shape in the last few weeks - which is why people shouldn't expect instant consistency. Even as of last week, you could tell he hadn't got his wind/speed back. Hopefully, he will continue his road to full recovery and hopefully Manu can somehow get some rest. You could tell by his tone in his post game interview, he's really exhausted right now.

Probably got to through French into the equation but yeah, it's time for the petty regular season intra-Spurs Fan squabbling to be squashed. The Spurs gots some winnin' to do.

Well my choice of words sucked, Tony is doing well lately. I guess I was wagering it more on the losses rather than the wins Spurs have had.

Like I said earlier, I love and apperciate all three members of "The Big Three." Oh, I also love Bruce and believe he gets a bad rap, which is obvious when you see how the "mainstream media" (a.k.a. ESPN) crucified him yesterday.

(Side-note: Why haven't you responded to my PM, timvp?)

That's a stretch but not enough...there maybe some truth in helping Manu's favoritism, but most of it is bull

    Tim is black.

IF Manu was an asshole, or just a ty player and latino they wouldn't notice him.

For instance, if we had Najera on our team isntead of Manu, I'm sure no one would notice anyone more than a role player.

Eh, I don't think we need to call out our players in threads.

If Tony, Tim or Manu have a bad game or stretch, I usually just don't say anything. I'm just looking forward to them playing better the following game. Why about their bad games?

I don't even like saying Manu sucked tonight, he still did a good job getting some steals and making passes to Tim.

    Manu
    Bowen
    Finley
    Barry
    Udoka

Two of the five should be able to show up every night.
