That's pretty sweet. Are there any other Team Argentina games that you know of floating around the net?

goddam what an asskicking the US got from argentina. That game you can see that Nocioni, Scola and Herman are for real.

what a that marbury is, broke Fabri's hand and in the next play almost breaks someone else's nose.

Yeah, I was so freaking mad at Marbury that day (still hate that loser), Oberto had to miss the final game because of him and "el colo" got hit so hard on the face I was worried for him too... the worst part, no foul was called if I remenber correcly, in both cases.

It sounded like the voices in the English version broadcast of the buzzer-beater by Manu were Mike Breen and Doug Collins.

it's a lot better to watch this play with the argentinian broadcast. you can hear the screams of the camera operators and producers behind the voices of the commentators. it's ing hilarious.

Manu is great, we owe alot to him but we also have to share him with the rest of the world. I wonder which times are his favorites, NBA or Olympics.

Yeah, you can't really blame him for that, he won 3 nba rings already, and he may win even more... but olympic gold... thats a 1 time thing for argentina.

I remember watching the game live and screaming like a lunatic! I had that game saved but I can’t seem to find it. If I remember correctly pop was there and the whole team plus fans were celebrating like crazy. I think I was even dancing along with them. lol

Manu's best shot ever was when he dunked on 3 Lakers back in 2003! And the Spurs ended up destroying the the Dynasty..and Kobe and fisher were both crying at the sidelines too!
There is a video of this shot floating around here somewhere. It's one of my favorites also.

The Olympics turned him into an All Star. Before that he was just good.
---> Wrong, he was already an allstar playing in the euro league, but the Olympics game gave him international allstar status.

What I remember from that game is Tim "Mr Fundamental" Duncan. The Lakers tried every player they had on him and he took each of them apart, went for 16 or somesuch in the 3rd quarter (37/16 for the game), and blew the Lakers apart. That day Tim lifted a dark Laker-haze from the eyes of every Spurs fan, and I knew the vindicating championship (after all of the * bull ) would come our way.
