I watched parts of seasons 1 & 2, and I really can't enjoy the show. Barney seems like he's trying too hard at times (although he is the strength of the show) and Marshall/Ted seem like a couple of gots. Ted being the centric character was a mistake, should have gone more of a friends route. It's like have Ross as the main character. Friends would have been horrible with Ross as the main character.

this is why i dont watch the show and friends, characters who dont learn from mistakes, but continue with the same over again

They did a good job of developing the characters. Such as the running jokes of Ted being pretentious. They do however use everyone's characters more and more as the seasons go on.

That show is kind of like Scrubs. It's ok if you watch it in small doses, but after a while the cutesy jokes make you wanna take a .

More filler episodes that are a chore to watch.
