Sorry but 3 points, 5 rebounds, and 1 block is a huge step back for Rasho. He needs to step it up.

Rasho does some good things on a consistent basis, he plays excellent position defense, he is hardly ever out of place on the D, day in and day out, he sets great picks, and on the pick and roll he always makes his switch guy go out wide, something Tim fails to do a lot giving up easy looks at the basket. However he is easy to defend, never really making people guard him, and I don't mean by scoring, I mean by getting good position under the basket where guys have to guard him, he just sit there letting the defender dictate where he should be, he doens't fight for rebounds, and he is not very aggressive settling for layup when he can dunk and using his body to crash the boards and put the ball in the hole.
The worse of course is that certain team just neutralize him like Seattle where he has disappeared in both games. My main beef is that on offense he doesn't fight for position look at Rasho's defender guard him, almost always all they do is extend their arms and keep him at bay, period. That leaves them avialable to mug TD who is constantly fighting for his spot on the block. Now on Defense Rasho fights hard to keep people out of their spots, how come he doesn't do it on offense? It's a mystery to me, but if and when TD wears out or gets hurt, this is the single biggest reason I see that happening, Rasho's lack of aggression on the block on offfense.

Rasho had a great game defensively, but he should've taken more shots to draw Yao out of the paint.

Missing 10 FTs is bad enough in a 2-possession loss, but _ALSO_ -10 in RBs (aka possessions), well, you might as well not suit up.

Deke had 15 RB (he avg's 4.5 RB). So one has to ask WTF Tim and Rasho (and the whole Spurs team) was doing to get slaughtered on the boards?

In the previous game @HOU, Spurs were +11 RBs. That's -21 swing in RBs.

This game, Jeff outcoached Pop, and Rockets outhustled Spurs.

If people can say "forget about the season. only the playoffs count", then they have to say "forget about the (close) game, only the crunch minutes count"

    Here's Duncan's 4th qtr but only the play-by-play:

(10:52) [SAN] Nesterovic Subs ution replaced by Duncan
    (9:51) [SAN] Duncan what ???
    (8:09) [SAN] Duncan Rebound (Off:2 Def:7)
(7:59) [SAN] Duncan Jump Shot: Missed
(7:04) [HOU] Mutombo Layup Shot: Missed Block: Duncan (2 BLK)
    (7:02) [SAN] Duncan Rebound (Off:2 Def:8)
    (6:01) [SAN] Duncan Rebound (Off:2 Def:9)
(5:43) [SAN] Duncan Hook Shot: Missed
(5:42) [SAN] Duncan Foul: Loose Ball (1 PF)
(4:19) [SAN 57-56] Duncan Layup Shot: Made (14 PTS)
(3:24) [SAN] Duncan Turnover: Bad Pass (1 TO) Steal: McGrady (3 ST)
    (3:11) [SAN] Duncan Rebound (Off:2 Def:10)
(2:22) [SAN] Duncan Free Throw 1 of 2 missed
    (2:22) [SAN 58-64] Duncan Free Throw 2 of 2 (15 PTS)
(1:41) [SAN] Duncan Free Throw 1 of 2 missed
    (1:41) [SAN 59-64] Duncan Free Throw 2 of 2 (16 PTS)
(0:30) [SAN] Horry Free Throw 1 of 2 missed
(0:14) [SAN 64-71] Duncan Jump Shot: Made (18 PTS)

Duncan choked, again, at the line. Had the Spurs hit their FTs in crunch time, it would have changed the tactics of the game, and maybe the outcome. Miss 10 FTs, lose by 6 pts. Same old Spurs.

I don't know if I counted right, but I think that Deke only got 2 rebounds when Rasho was on the floor. Can somebody else check that as well?

Rasho was out there only when Yao was, so that's believeable.
